Least Favorite Toku Shows... And Why?

Probably Boukenger and Go-Onger. Boukenger because I didn't like the characters, heroes of villains. It had a decent premise, but I could never bring myself to care about anyone except for Eiji. Go-Onger was just . . . bad. And it's not even bad because I want everything in my superhero shows to be grimdark and filled with sex, it was just lame. The characters didn't appeal to me, I really didn't like the humor after the first 14 episodes or so, it just grew so stale. When I think of stand out tokusatsu shows with smart humor, I think Carranger, Sazer X, or Ryukendo, those shows integrated a lighthearted atmosphere into their core while still managing to have this sense of balance when the darker moments came about. And it sucks because I genuinely had a lot of fun with Go-Onger in those early episodes and then it progressively grew more boring by the episode. I was pretty much done with the series by the time the Wings were introduced.

Decade: It became really boring after the hesei riders worlds. I didn't like the characters and the lack of plot were others reasons.

Goseiger, I've haven't seen one sentai in enitrety but after 15 episodes of Gosieger to look for useable footage, I found the rangers bland for Sentai.

Kiva has problems. The 1986 arc alone is watchable; Wataru managed to annoy me a lot.

Decade had the issue of so many good yet conflicting ideas coming together, which resulted in a big clusterfuck.

Other than that I can't really pin down other least favorites... since I don't even bother watching the weaker ones.

Kamen Rider Blade - The story was all over the place, the pacing was a mess, and it contains both my least favorite character and ending in Tokusatsu all together.

I really couldn't care one iota about any character in Dekaranger. They were just so boring. Dekamaster was by far the coolest, but he got relegated to background character real quick.

Go-Onger -Idiot comedy fest. I felt like a 2 year old when watching it.

Hibiki -The 1st half was easily the most boring and stale storytelling I've ever watched. I don't care about was grade the kid got on his test.

*puts up the shields*
KABUTO. A convoluted storyline, A prick of a hero, and pointless enemies. It was like watching fanfic.

All the Tomica series.

Go-onger. Seriously, screw that show. RPM did it better.

Ryuuki, it was below average the whole series...and then the ending was like a fucking kick in the nuts. Worst ending ever.
