Last Two Metal Hero Shows - Kabutack and Robotack Questions

I'm interested in people's thoughts on the last two entries of the Metal Hero franchise. Though they appear to be aimed at the younger demographic, that doesn't mean it could be bad.

From what I read, they were directed by Takashi Yamada, who did Ojamajo Doremi and Heartcatch Precure. He seems to center around young girls anime, so I wonder what he was doing composing the story of two merchandise-shilling shows for boys (I say "merchandise-shilling" that with the up-most affection).

They're considered the last two metal heroes unofficially, but i will say this i can't stand either Kabutack or Robotack, however i will give them credit for actually trying to make them entertaining.....with failed results.

They weren't that bad, I mean, they're not as great as some of the earlier stuff, but they were fun to watch. I never felt like the shows were ever trying to go seriously deep or challenge the viewer, but I don't think every show has to do that. The plots aren't anything too deep, everything is fairly straight forward from what I've seen. I find myself loving the designs of the suits, but they often felt like they were too clunky for their own good and hindered the action. Had they been slimmed down just a tad, these things would have been great.

Also, Takeshi Yamada was the writer for the shows, not the director.

So Series Composer isn't the Head Writer? Oops, my bad.

I recall seeing a clip where a giant plastic snail was angry and frightened a woman. It was surreal.

Judging by the tone of the show, I assume the antagonists became good at the end.

My understanding is that the series composer is the guy that takes the ideas from the producers and strings it all together into a show. Sometimes that series composer becomes the head writer, I'm not too sure what the case is here, but Yamada did write a majority of episodes in both series.

Oh Kabutack and Robotack? Those 2 shows were the reason why we never got any Metal Hero shows until Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger VS Uchuu Keiji Gavan.

People are quick to say that, but both shows actually performed better than B-Fighter Kabuto.

If Metal Heroes is revived and there is ever a crossover series, that the cast of these shows and the more serious entries interact. I like characters who come from shows with clashing tones meeting up.
