LA Noire!

may contain spoilers!

just completed LA Noire not long ago and I've gotta say, it was an awesome game.

Loves:
- Cole Phelps, enough said.
- Stefan Bekowsky. he's the only partner who gets along very well with Phelps upon first meeting and I really love his jokester nature. too bad beyond that, there's nothing interesting about him. no backstory etc, but he's still my favourite.
- Captain James Donelly. I dunno, he's the only captain in the LAPD who stands out the most, probably because he was the only captain who appeared in trailers. I wonder what happened to him after Phelps got demoted?
- Interrogations. I love how the suspects perform their facial expressions, but it gets frustrating as the game progresses because their expressions seem more deceiving, like one asshole could actually tell a lie with a fucking straight face!
- Shoot outs. I really love the aiming, very accurate and you can shoot down assholes easily without struggle. I find it difficult to take cover at times, but it's still fun.
- Driving. very smooth and the car obeys your controls all the time, but I prefer letting my partner drive to locations 'cause I'm lazy. :P

Hates:
- Dr. Harlan Fontaine. the moment he was introduced through those newspapers sidequest, I started hating him. he's always putting on that "high class act" it pisses me off. I cheered out loud when he was killed.
- Roy fucking Earle. he accepts bribes, caused Phelps' demotion and he still fucking got away with it in the end?!
- Courtney Sheldon, another annoying prick. I'm glad he got killed.
- Elsa Lichtman, another annoying bitch who only causes trouble.
- Car chases, especially when the asshole turns into a narrow alley.

Others:
- why did they cut out Fraud and Burglary Desks? the game was fun, but it was sadly very short.
- in a Homicide case, all evidence points to the victim's husband, but here's the most fucked up part: if you charge him instead of the child molester, despite getting all clues and all questions correct, YOU CAN'T GET A FUCKING 5 STARS RATING!!
- the Cole/Elsa affair was so abrupt and sudden, it seemed like a WTF moment. when was there ever chemistry between those two? I understand that Phelps can't stand it whenever Roy abuses the bitch, but huh...?
- what happened to Phelps' partner in Patrol Desk, Ralph Duncan and Stefan Bekowsky after all that bullshit?
- I wanted to say "what happened to...?" but I can't remember who I wanna ask about.

I hope we see some DLC that has cases from the fraud and burglary desks. I think something pretty big will be forthcoming in the future.

I'm not finished with the game yet. I've still get a ways to go as I'm just finishing "The Silk Stocking Murder." I'm really enjoying it thus far.

I've played like 4 minutes and I loved it.

It is like GTA tho... the basics. But it's not the gonzo kill everyone crazy. Sticks to the characters and story very well.

Can't wait to really chew in to the fun.

Driving and shooting. That is the only thing that it is similar to GTA4.

It's nothing at all like GTA other than a similar over all look. Anyone that plays this game like they would play a GTA will fail. And they will fail hard.

I never liked GTA and it annoys me how some idiots expect LA Noire to be like GTA by asking "can I kill random people?". I mentioned GTA because like you said, similar gameplay, except the game only decides when you can draw out your weapon. people should realize that this is a Team Bondi game, not Rockstar Games.
