Both. And the new one is meant to be an alternate one I believe, because the worlds are getting messed up and Decade has to straightened them up, and I HOPE, that at the end, when it's all straightened out, they would all like somehow turn back to the normal cast?...

I go with Godai, this I just don't like this Onodera guy and he's not written that well (a very barebones generic archetype) but I understand that he's an alternate version of Kuuga, not the same guy. And well the Onodera archetype un-fleshed out persona fits the sidekick Rider idea better. Its also a reminder on how good things/characters/ideas can be so easily degenerated into crap with the flick of a rewrite.
No secret on this board that I liked Kamen Rider Kuuga.
One of the things I dreaded going into to Decade after the recasting thing was announced is exactly what kind of character they were going to replace the original Kuuga with. Would they try to make him some jerkoff "anti-hero", would he just be comedy relief, would I be able to recognize Kuuga on any level beyond his suit?
After viewing the first two episodes I was kinda torn because while I liked that Onedera was full of fire and would fight like hell I thought that might be it for him. That he would amount to little more than the overly hot-headed modern Red Ranger type stuck in a KR show. I guess my fear was the he'd degenerate into being Ban with a belt.
What really impressed me about episode 3 even with how much I despise the damn transformer gimmick was that the themes of Kuuga and Godai Yuuskes character were not in fact forgotten at all but rather they were part of Onedera's own evolution. I hope as much care and thought is taken with him throughout the rest of the series.
If really forced I would still pick Godai but for right now at least I'm feeling good about the new kid.
I like both. Godai will always be the definitive version- he is Kuuga, Onodera is the guy who becomes Kuuga in Decade. But saying that, I still like Onodera so far and there's still plenty of time for them to go somewhere with him, since he's apparently one of the regulars.
