The bizarre and trippy Swedish horror flick KOKO-DI KOKO-DA was meant to open in selected theaters late last March, but instead it became one of the first foreign horror films to be displaced by the pandemic. It’s been a few months since then, but the film has at last been rescheduled, and will have a virtual theater release.
Elin, Tobias and their daughter like to go out camping every summer. Or rather, they did until…the incident. The child vanished during their last trip, never to be seen again…and weirdly, it had something to do with a man in a strawboater hat singing “Koko-Di, Koko-Da.” Also, possibly, a dead pig was involved.
Three years later, the grief-stricken Elin and Tobias work up the nerve to go camping again, just like they used to. And….not only are they back at the same campsite, their daughter is alive and well. They’re now caught in a time loop along with her, and the circumstances are so bizarre that any way out is lost on them.
