King of Fighters MMORPG?

This too? I was right when I said SNK is milking the series. The graphics look Tatsunoko vs Capcom-ish.

I would probably have liked to play a King of Fighters RPG, as I love playing as Terry Bogard and think leveling up would be a lot of fun. BUT AN MMORPG? :redface2:

Something just doesn't sound right about that. Not at all.

Well the graphics are quite impressive.

I have to say, this might actually turn out to be good, if it wasn't massively multiplayer. It looks like it would make a good beat-em-up. Not to mention, the whole "RPG element" could boost more involvement in the story, much like Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks and MK's Konquest modes, you know what I mean?

It'll be nice to backtrack on your favorite character's storylines and then beat the crap out of hoardes of baddies, then fight some boss characters.

Again, I don't understand how the concept of MMO would apply here.

actually no, ikusa... snk tried this before in 2002, before they went under. and as for sky stage, take a look at capcom's cannon spike on dreamcast and you'll see what i mean....

i wonder how this will one will turn out.... capcom came out with street fighter online, i don't see why we can't cut snk some slack, and what this is all about.

...and they tried it earlier in '98. That was when SNK took KoF and made the series' first attempt into the RPG genre with "Kyo". What I'm saying is that this isn't the first time KoF has stepped out of the fighting genre.

I recall seeing these screenshots, years ago. I'm glad that game never came to be, because it would have failed. The game looks like it's running off of the Hyper Neo Geo 64 engine, though it might not have been.

I'm fully aware of Cannon Spike, I own it.
