Same here, in fact I remember some kid playing one of the new versions in the middle of a game stop and going "When I was your age there were 150 of the buggers, and we had mystery gifts which were the ****."
See, I won't lie - I have more than 2,000 cards (partially assimilated from my brother's old collection), but the TCG used to piss me off. Kids would play it first, then get the GB games and go "where do i get the cards? I can't find any cards." Like somebody didn't send out the memo that the video games came first. And those cards caused such an uproar, and were the source of the pokemon backlash not all that long after the franchise hit.
So, I love 'em and I hate em - both passionately ^_^;;

Mystery Gifts showed up in Gold/Silver/Crystal, you needed the GBC's infrared beam/port thingie to get them (I had completly forgot about that thingie until now )so there was ALREADY more than 150.
