Kamen Rider Wizard, Ep 10 - "National Security Agency Section Zero"

Well, I saw the episode. This time, my internet services were down for a while, and that kept me from getting to see the episode.

-Phoenix is alive and is having an anger fit. Guess you could say he's a real "hot head", huh? *shot*
-A Gargoyle that turns to stone? Saw that power coming before he even did it!
Although, +10 jerk points for desecrating that memorial. True villain material indeed.
-So, Wizard is getting in trouble with the Japanese FBI, and this one officer seems to be a real dill weed and refuses to believe in Wizard, even though all of his friends keep telling him he is a good guy who is fighting to protect people.
...Yeah, like we haven't heard that cliche a million times. Let me guess, in a future episode, Haruto becomes a full monster and loses control for a short while. Shock and awe! :O_O:
-So, these Japanese FBI guys want their own magic ring? Well, since I'm trying to avoid spoilers... Man-made secondary Kamen Rider! I'm calling it right now! Uses machines to forcefully invoke magic.

Not much to say after that. It's an over all standard episode in Rider shows like this. It does thicken the plot a little and will probably play some role in a future episode, but nothing special so far. Also, I love seeing a Rider on his motorcycle, but I REALLY love seeing a Rider transform while riding it. And I am loving the henshin belt phrases more and more each time.

Another awesome episode of Wizard!

- It really shouldn't be surprising that Flame Dragon is getting used in situations that it's not necessary for. It's the new form, the show has to advertise it as much as possible. It's just something I've come to expect from Rider. Take Magnet States for instance, as a whole it isn't that much stronger or even better than Elec States or Fire States, yet after its debut Fourze kept using it even when he had no reason to. It's just another instance of the marketing aspect of Rider conflicting with the storytelling aspect. If I had to guess at a plot related reason, I'd say Haruto just isn't taking what Wizardragon said seriously, at least not yet. I'm sure the negatives to overusing the drago system will present themselves.

- Though I think it needs to be said that the dragon forms aren't really the mid-season upgrade for Wizard. That's the DragoTimer and All Dragon. So I think we're still not at a point where the Phantoms have to start getting stronger instead of relying on special abilities when fighting Wizard.

- Kizaki's an interesting character. He's not someone whose content to just watch as the fate of humanity rests in the hand of one man who teeters on the edge of being a human or a Phantom, and actively seeks a way for humans to join in the fight. While I disagree with his reasoning for distrusting Haruto, I can at least understand them. He's certainly a lot better obstructive official character than Hojo or Nago ever were. Though to be honest, I don't think he's Beast. He's got all the great setup to be the Second Rider, but I think Toei is going to go with someone with more of the "pretty boy look" that Haruto and past second Riders have, which Kizaki doesn't. That, and second Riders have a habit of just debuting out of the blue with only small buildup, in contrast to Kizaki's many appearances. Just my opinion anyway.

- Can't wait for next time with Kizaki protecting Naoki, a return to the Underworld, and Wizard vs Phoenix and Gargoyle!
