60 000 for the entire series is still less than a series that comes out brand new like Wizard (about 86 000).

Curiously the new W sets include HBVs.

You get the complete MMPR set for less then what this guy in japan offer, the sad part is that Japanese think that there going to get what they pay for :laugh:

I think that was a one off case because the movie was distributed by Warner Brothers and they generally demand English subtitles from their titles...

Nah, they weren't going to do them at first. The composer actually had to push for English subtitles to be a thing - which is probably why the other two Zero movies don't have them, he didn't work on either one.

Subtitles usually get made for each film but they're rarely included on the DVDs. Jim Ballard, for example, wrote subtitles for Zero the Movie that would be used for hypothetical foreign releases but they didn't make it onto the domestic release, sadly.

Ultraman the Next got a subbed release. Man, we need a BD remaster of THAT movie and if we get it, I pray to GOD it includes the subs again.

Not all of them, I think it was only one of them and I believe that was mainly because they'd used an English composer. I remember something with a staff member.

Is that where the subs on the Malaysian DVD came from? (specifically, the one I brought up on this thread, more info on post 22 there. Note that it was from a different company/group than the thread OP was talking about, IIRC I just posted it there since I had been meaning to ask for a while)

Also, why are they usually never included if they were already written? Seems like a waste to just leave something lying around.

They would be used for, say, a U.S. theatrical release, which Tsuburaya probably wants to happen instead of simply licensing the movies for home video. Japanese companies aren't usually terribly intelligent when it comes to the U.S. market.
