Kamen Rider: The First - Talk Up!

I watched it last night and I did really enjoy it. It was like a a New Gen version of the Old School, very cool.

I was happy to even see they kept the neck and hair visible with the helmets on. Definatley a good tribute.

Good to see Ryuki's KR Raia back in action aswell and the cameo by V3 was Godly.

Saw it..... it was aw-ight. Fell asleep in the middle, saw the end... I think that one chick behind the screen was in Casshern.

I tend to have a big problem with Kamen Rider's who don't pose and say, "HENSHIN!"

Science building looked like the same I saw in the Blade movie.

Think I saw a driveway used in Blade Episode 1.

Again.. it was aw-ight.

The movie was ok. The action was great but that's about it. I think some of the battles could have used more inspirational music. Or more kick ass music to help build up the fights momentum more.

I loved how the generals exploded after the rider kick. The story behind the snake soldiers was nice though a more dramatic demise would have been nice to conclude their story.

I think the Rider Vs Rider deal could have had a better climax. Ultimately I think the movie did fail in certain areas. But it was good. Nothing that really made me go "daaamn" though. And it should have. The action was good but the music didnt really help it become memorable.

I thought the stunts were okayish the story seemed rush, which if rumors are true and there will be four movies, I see no reason for that to be.

You need to watch the original series to see how Rider 1 & 2 really are. The movie is closer to the comic version when it comes to the transformations.

Seeing as how the movie was basically taking the first episode, shoving in the Ichimonji (minus the other Shocker-controlled Riders) and the Cobra-Otoko storylines from the comic all into 90 minutes, I think the rushed feeling was sort of inevitable. Still, I liked the movie for what it was, a little tribute to the original series/story (I think it really helps to be familiar with that before watching the movie, actually.) I'll be interested to see if sequels do materialize, since I was under the impression it was going to be a one-shot, anniversary type thing.
