Kamen Rider Ryuki: Life and Death (RPG ThreaD)

Kain

Lurker
It was stranger looking in the reflections seen in windows and mirrors, seeing the usual masses going about their usual business in the reflection, but being totally alone. Thats how it was on the other side simply known as the Mirror World, which much to the suprise of some was a puratory of sorts where certain souls were gathered for the opportunity to earn another chance at life in a game known as the Ressurection Trial. No one who participated in the game ever understood it's origins or even how long this had been going on, they just knew the rules and conditions set before them.

As always not a soul was around as Kyle walked around in the mirror world, looking for mirror monsters to slay while waiting to be approached with a mission by one of the mysterious Mirror Guides. All while he wandered randomly he kept his advent deck, known as the Abyss Deck in his right hand so he could transform at a moments notice, on this side it always wise to be prepared for a conflict, wether it was from a monster or a fellow rider looking to gain some quick points you would have to be able to transform at a moment's notice. On the plus side on this side of the mirror people had no need to eat, sleep or even use the bathroom thus making it that much more easier to remain on your guard. So far Kyle hadnt ran into any other riders in his time in the game , something he was rather greatful for. He wasnt really comfortable of erasing someone else, after all they could deserve another chance just as much as him, at the same time he knew not all riders thought like him and he was naturally unsure of if he could trust any of them.

If it werent for some of the circumstances Kyle might actually enjoy his situation, in some ways it was sort of a dream come true. He had the ability to become a powerful warrior and fight off creatures which preyed on humans, in a sense he was like the super heroes he idolized when he was alive, but the fact that he was dead and fighting to live again made it somewhat bittersweet. In a strange way it made the hero like experience more authentic, after all many heroes had rather dark origins involving a tragedy and were faced with dilemmas similar to his with the other riders. Maybe he would one day write about his days here, after all he would retain the memories of what happened here since part of the game was living with the decisions you made to get revived in the end, chances are it would be an entertaining graphic novel that could earn some money if he managed to gain his second chance.

"You know you really should make better use of your free time." a young man, dressed in a what looked like a business suit, said as he approached. Morris was always the type to dress overly formal, mostly to impress women. Seemed only natural his mirror world doppelganger would do the same. "Monsters all over, a few riders that probably deserve to have their soulds erased. An early lead certainly wouldnt hurt in this game you know."he said in response to Kyle's seemingly zoned out state. The game had only recently begun, and only a few easy challenges had been given, as such it didnt seem like any of the riders were on the fast track to ressurection.

"I could, but rather than waste energy chasing them down I prefer to wait for the challenges and cash in on the big points." he explained, trying to give a reason for his current listlessness. It was a rather half-assed and not very convincing one though, as things like tiredness, hunger and even the need to relieve one's self were pretty much nonexistent on this side of the mirror.

"I've been here long enough to know how this plane of existence works, so dont try fooling me. Anyway it's game time." he explained. "A number of mirror monsters are about to be unleashed, among them is one particularly strong beast, your objective is to erase it before the other riders do. As always any other kills you make will be added to your total score and the erasure of other riders is very much encouraged. Gotta remember, even if manty accumulate a high score only a few can achieve ressurection." he said before dissolving into mist.

Other riders..... he knew they would be coming along some time, for the early stage of the game the riders were more or less kept from encountering each other in order to give the players a fair chance of learning the game and getting aquainted with their new power. This challenged seemed to be the end of all of that, now the game was truely going to begin. He couldnty say he looked forward to it, as it would likely be an end to feeling like some kind super hero. He had to wonder, just what were the others like? Morris had said that they were people of all kinds, some good, some totally psycho, and some in between.

Soon the mirror world would be crawling not only with mirror monstersbut also with other riders all gunning for the same target. "I better get suited up them." he said as he briefly turned to a window and held out his Advent Deck, causing a belt to appear on his waist. He proceeded to slide the deck into an appropriately sized slot on the belt, causing a pair of semi transparent reflections to envelop him, and form into the solid form of Kamen Rider Abyss. Now it was just a matter of waiting for the official start of the mission.

Shotaro walked through the streets of mirror world waiting for a mirror monster to show up. He stoped looking at his reflection in the mirror thinking "If I could just go to the human world long enough to get this data on the virus to someone In crow." He pulled a flash drive out of his pocket and looked at it thinking "This little flash drive could save the lives of so many people....I have to win the ressurection trial the fate of alot people rest on it." Suddenly someone behind him shouted "SHOTARO!!!" and tackled him from behind headbutting him in the back of the head. Shotaro hit the ground hard with his Mirror guide Ryu sitting on his back. Shotaro sat up quickly holding the back of his head in pain.

Shotaro yelled at Ryu saying "What the Hell did you do that for!?," Ryu stood up and said "Im here on Odin's orders another batch of Monsters are comeing into the mirror world you better hurry if the other riders get to them before you do you'll fall behind on points." Ryu grinned as he looked at Shotaro, Shotaro sighed and thought 'I just cant stay mad at him although when I was a kid I couldn't stay mad at the Ryu I knew either." Ryu stood up and dusted off his clothes.

Returning the flash drive to his pocket he pulled out his advent deck and thought looking at it "I dont want to erase any riders even though Im use to takeing lives." Ryu continued looking at the deck and said "...so Ill just gather all the points I need by killing mirror monsters I have to be ressurected the fate of alot of people depends on it." Holding the advent deck and pointing it at a broken mirror on the ground a belt appeared on his reflection and on him at the same time. Ryu said "Henshin," before placeing the deck into the belt as two reflections merged together on him donning him in the armor of Kamen Rider Zolda. His ride shooter appeared in a window behind him and he got on it rideing to the part of the Mirror World were the monsters were gonna appear. Ryu watched him leave and thought "good luck Shotaro."

Jason was sat on a bridge over a mostly dried up canal, his legs hanging over the edge. He had his advent cards in his hands, looking at each of them; each letter on the card, and the image on each card in detail. The whole area around him was mostly silent, a nice change from the usual discomforting noises of traffic and crowds of the other world. On the other hand, it seemed the mirror world was devoid of animals. That was the one thing that upset him about the mirror world; he'd quickly come to terms with his death, but it was most saddening not seeing the animals any more. The image of the tiger on the cards made him feel slightly better.

He heard a few familiar footsteps behind him, as Victoria approached. She patted him on the head and ruffled his hair like she always did.
"You okay JC?"
He bit his lip slightly as she called him that... It was one of the ticks that reminded him that this might not be his Victoria; his Victoria always called him Jase, she knew he hated 'JC'.

"Yeah..." he replied lazily, not looking up from the cards. He placed them back in the deck.
"Chin up. It's game time! There be monsters about. Probably a few riders too. Some of 'em are kinda crazy, you ready?" she skipped around in front of him.

Jason stood up and stretched. He hadn't met the other riders yet. He wondered what they'd be like... Mirror world monsters were simple, but human monsters... More complicated.

"Now or never..."

Turning to see his reflection in the window, he held out the deck, as the belt appeared around his waist.
"Henshin..."
He slotted the deck in place as twin translucent reflections appeared in the glass and fused with him to transform him into Kamen Rider Tiger. Victoria gave him a big smile and pointed in the direction of the coming battle.

Adrian, his hand resting on his Advent Deck in case of an ambush, roamed the streets. He had actually started to like the desolate nothingness of the Mirror World. But, he was fed up with seeing only a mere reflection of the Human World. He grabbed the Advent Deck and turned to a window, as a belt appeared on his sides. He slid in the Deck as it activated and the green suit of Kamen Rider Verde appeared over him.

"Don't be so temperamental, Verde..." the voice of his guide, Lucian, said as he appeared beside Adrian. Adrian hated seeing Lucian, as the man showed up just to torture him with the image of the man that killed him.

"Don't call me Verde," the Kamen Rider said, turning to face his Guide.

"Fine then, Mr. Hallows, there's a new mission. A swarm of Mirror Monsters will be released soon. There's going to be a stronger than Normal Monster. It's worth more points than normal Monsters too. Make sure you kill it. By the way, try to get a Rider this time!" Lucian said as he disappeared.

In another part of this strange mirror world, nearby a high school, a young, attractive woman with long silver hair was wearing what seemed to be a black, leather outfit, like you would see at a fashion shoot. These were the last clothes she wore after all, before she died...but unlike the others here, it was by her own hands. She watched the students go by, making their gossip, smiles on the faces of the few people she called friends in that life.

Izumi wasn't smiling at this. Her mind was still wracked with guilt with what she had done to herself, and a part of her wished that should not have been given this opportunity to have a second chance. Shaking her head at this thought, she had to remind herself. That's why I am fighting...to...make up for what I did...so that I can start a new life... Glancing at the students again, she thought that if she did win, perhaps she could graduate with her fellow students...under a different alias and appearance of course, to get away from her past "life" as she saw it now.

Soon, a guide approached her, with this one looking like a teenage girl in an odd red and white outfit, with what looked like an instrument of some sort slung to her back. "There's gonna be a biiiig load of monsters coming! But, in the middle of that mess, there is going to be a stronger one worth more points! That's the mission, gloomy-chan!" The girl finished, pointing in the direction of the fight before disappearing in a flash.

Izumi sighed to herself, trying to brace her mind of what she might have to do. If there are other riders...I might have to fight them...but...if I want to live... She then brought out her own advent deck, which was black and had a crab emblem on it. Holding it up to a school window, a belt appeared at her waist. "Henshin..." Upon saying this, Izumi slid the deck inside the belt, with the Orange armor of Scissors soon covering her.

Turning around, she decided to head in the direction her guide had pointed her toward...

SMASH!

The glass beneath Wyatt's foot cracked appropriately as he crunched every piece that stood beneath him. The window was first dispatched by a swift, yet powerful kick that seemed to ring out in the vast emptiness of the Mirror World. He stood alone in front of the empty hole in the building, some of the window remained in the corners of the frame, a reminder of the rage that had befallen the purple Rider.

Turning around, Wyatt cracked his neck, a horrifying sound to anyone that had never heard his neck crack before. His lust for battle had begun to manifest, and the only thing that could possibly fill his need for the moment was the vast amount of glass that occupied the Mirror World. Had not this world been also been occupied by tons of monsters, or the lost souls that claimed themselves to be Riders, 'Mirror World' would have been appropriately named. However Wyatt had no time to figure out formalities in his head, he needed to satisfy his thirst, and glass would be not the way to quench.

Moving over a few feet, he tensed his muscles, pulled back his right arm, and sent it crashing into another pain of glass that was unlucky to get in his way. His arm tore through the window pane like a starving child through bread, and it never felt more satisfying. True, the second pane made him feel a little better, but it did not meet his requirements. He would have to find something to fight, and fast, or whatever Riders he came in contact with would have some serious trouble with the purple Rider.

However before he proceeded to destroy yet another window pane, one of Odin's various guides came to greet him. Seeing the guide, Wyatt smirked, and shook the glass from his right arm, blood also following the tiny shards. Before the guide even had time to talk, Wyatt pulled out his Advent Deck and pointed it to the window in front of him.

"Don't bother saying a word. I always know what you want when you come by. I thank you, so go."

The belt appeared around his waist, and with his fancy arm movements, Wyatt slammed the deck into the slot in the belt, but not before saying, "Henshin." Three semi-translucent images of his Rider suit shot towards him, and soon the images become solid, and his armor was upon him.

"King snake," he muttered as he looked upon his reflection in the window. "Appropriate name for an appropriate wielder." Turning around, he watched as the mirror guide disappeared, and the streets began to fill with monster after monster. Wyatt smiled behind his helmet, his lust for battle ready to be fulfilled.

Kyou sat silently atop of a roof gazing at the lifeless city, in his hand was a black tablet with a picture of a dragon on it...well it wasn't quite lifeless, as him and several others inhabited this place along with a gang of monsters...actually, Kyou didn't even know if he could call them "people" for starters, they weren't alive any more...apparently.

His situation was quite the frustrating one, when he awoke, he did so with no memory of his past he only remembered his name. Then all sorts of craziness broke out, as he was attacked monsters, and given a strange deck of cards that allowed him to transform into what he could only describe was one of those costumed heroes one would see on Saturday morning TV.

The more he fought, the more his memories were pieced together but they were...scattered about like a broken up jigsaw puzzle. Slowly, pieces were coming back together, he knew his name at least..but he couldn't shake off the feeling that...he needed to get out of here as quickly as he could...though he knew it would probably be impossible. He lets out a deep sigh in frustration.

"Kyou-chan" a familiar voice says. Kyou turns behind him to see a young girl wearing a cloak "Huh?Bwaaaah!" He shouts, nearly falling off of the building "Kagura! I told you not to sneak up on me like that! You scared the daylights out of me." He says Kagura giggles "A fresh batch of Mirror Monsters have been dispatched...there could be other Riders around too." Kagura says

Kyou's look suddenly becomes serious "Where?!" He asks

"Over there" Kagura says pointing to the distance "I'd be quick, if I were you." She says Kyou nods, and hurries down stairs

Daisuke sat in the school as he saw threw the reflection of his locker all the students moving from place to place and he said," This isn't right! This isn't right! Those bastards began to take over the school and I stood up to the bastard, and he was able to live and even get away with his crime while I pay through this nightmare!" Daisuke cried as he bashed his hands against his locker and he then had arms over his shoulders and rub down his chest. A man with the breath of a snake and he began to kiss Daisuke's neck and then kissed his lips as Daisuke turned to the side and Daisuke then looked back and said," Why are you hear Fallen, and why are you like this?" Fallen smirked and said," You're so young and to know that you could die I mean you've never kissed someone before or done anything I just want you to be comfortable that is all. I just care." Daisuke smirked and said," What is the true reason why you're here?"

Fallen sighed and said," Oh well you have a mission just beating up monsters do me a favor ok? Come back I want to kiss you again." Fallen then faded off and Daisuke licked his lips and said," Whatever you snake." Walking towards the scene of the fight Daisuke then shouted," You are all heartless bastards to believe this is the truth and this is the afterlife. Nothing exist after this. Nothing! Just all of you end it just end it we all need to rest, and not suffer!" Daisuke then took his deck out and turned to the nearest mirror and then Daisuke said," Henshin!" Daisuke's deck was slid into the belt as he then changed into Raia and the breathing could be heard from everywhere. Daisuke was so unstable and just ready to lose his mind. Daisuke opened his visor and then he waited with his swing vent out waiting for the mission to start.

Yoshimi wandered around the desolate stadium. I was suppose to play here now! Yoshimi screamed as he stood at the bater's plate. Why did this happen to me. I have to get out of here. In frustration Yoshimi pulled out his advent deck. He faced the shattered mirror on the ground that was once part of the stadium. Henshin! Yoshimi slid the deck into his belt as he turned into Gai. Gai pulled out his Stike Vent and started destroying what was left of the stadium.

You know you should use that rage on the mirror monsters instead of an empty stadium. Juliet shouted from the stands to get Gai's attention. There were some new monsters to play with on the other side of town. There is gonna be a really big one for you to meet. He's worth extra points, only if the other riders don't beat you to it. Now head over there. Remember if you take out a Rider you can get a lot of points. That would really make Odin sama happy. Juliet waved goodbye as Gai stormed out of the building. Maybe that kid's right. I can get my life back if I use my power against those riders. I may not be bright but I know I can't win this alone. I better get some friends in this war before it's over for me. Gai headed towards the sector where the swarm would come. Gai had his Metal Horn ready for anything headed his way.

Suddenly a transparent wall of energy rose up from the ground, cutting the riders off from the rest of the mirror creating an impassable barrier, making it that only the riders present within the circle could participate in the challenge, and tha those left outside of the barrier couldnt suddenly jump in after it began. It was a safe guard that prevented riders from waiting on the sidelines for others to thin out the herd for them and then suddenly jumping in. Sure things like that would be alright in other challenges, but Odin was an eccentric being and would often alter rules in order to give himself more interesting entertainment.

Next the symbols of the riders began appearing in various buildings, showing which riders were within the designated area, thus permitted to take part in the challenge. Abyss, Gai, Verde, Ouja, Raia, Tiger, Zolda, Scissors, and Ryuki; those were the riders that would be participating in this challenge apparently. Next hordes of Sheerghost and Gelnewt mirror monsters began materializing within the desginated area, though no sign of the designated super monster that Morris spoke of. It wasnt all that suprising really, they were supposed to hunt it down after all, it would be rather anti climactic if it just popped up in plain site.

With that the challenge was officially on. "It's game time!" Kyle said as he took a card from his belt and inserted it into the Abyssvisor's "mouth" and shutting it. With an electronic voice it loudly declared Sword Vent before a jagged sword flew into his hand. With that he jumped into the growing horde of monsters and began taking monsters out left and right. These were just small fries, they went down easy and were meant to be more of a nuisance than a threat, still though taking them out would get some points.

((It's game time! Only the riders mentioned here can get in on the action though))
