About episode 1: Since Eiji used a Mantis medal, does that mean Yummies have Core Medals too? What differentiates a Yummy from a Greed, just the fact that one has a single motif and the other has multiple? Can a Yummy become a Greed?

I don't think that's been made clear yet, but since the Yummy are like that because they lack Core Medals, I can imagine they don't.

So does that Mantis medal belong to Uva then? That would be strange to have Core Medals that can correspond to Yummies but don't belong to them.

Wouldn't it make more sense to do a Blade redux and have Eiji retrieve each Yummy's Core Medal?

Yes, the Mantis core medal belongs to Uva. Yummies are made only of cell medals. The Yummy are born from a cell medal corresponding to their Yummy form but the medals they create from eating human desire isn't just limited to cell medals of their Yummy form.

The Greeed are trying to retrieve their core medals to become whole again, so using a core medal to create a monster, only for Eiji to kill the monster and take the medal probably wouldn't be a smart thing I would assume.
