Kamen Rider OOO - Talk Up!

Watched the first episode of Kamen Rider DenOOO's. Basically what I was expecting. Dumb Bandai gimmicks and random idiocy. The OP is a thing. Being on an actor and moving isn't saving that suit design either.

On the positive though I will say that the designs for the main monsters look cool and Ankh is kind of an interesting character. I may watch the next couple of episodes just to see what they do with that.

Otherwise this show really just has the feel of Bandai throwing stuff at the wall again which is sad coming off of a show like W which is an example of how a little thought can go a long way and you can still meet your toy quotas.

Eiji was changing, he then hung the uniform on the wall which collapsed.

That scene actually have the first mess up of the series.

Pre OP: Eiji cloth falls through the wall ending up outside.

OP

After OP: After talking with the officer he steps back in and picks up his cloth from inside the room.

I think this if anything will be OOO downfall.

That+the pic of his belt with the wrong medals = a long long ride......

Based on the first episode,I managed to create some predictions about how OOO will probably turn out.

-The 2nd rider would probably be the sole survivor of the Ride vendors,Shintaro Goto.He appeared in the OP and the last bit of episode 1 so he might turn out to be someone important.

-The 2nd rider might be a "man-made" rider like G3 and IXA.As Kougami Foundation sent their troops in an attempt to destroy the Greeed so wouldn't they be trying to create a weapon to combat the Greeed.

-Since OOO is in the same world as W,Foundation X might come into play eventually as the people funding Kougami Foundation. This makes it possible that Kougami Foundation is trying to harness the power of Greeed for their own intentions and is helping OOO so he can destroy the Greeeds so they won't interfer in their research. This might create a Rider Vs Rider situation at the last few episodes where Eiji attempts to stop Kougami Foundation and face the 2nd rider.

Now I just need to wait for the 2nd episode to make more predictions.

We hope the Rumors are true and Cyclone appears ,we'll probably still like joker better though

and could someone make us a GIF of Eiji's scream when he sees ankh .

Oh god, am I going to have the Den-OOO BS through the whole series?

You've got to admit, the Den-O formula is in full effect. The Greeds are color-coded, wacky side-characters with arbitrary superpowers and food-related personal tics, an utterly hapless protagonist, and a greedy "assistant monster" that possessed people and just wants his own way.

I don't think this is accidental, either. Kobayashi knew what she was doing when she created the Den-O formula. I believe she knows what she's doing when she repeats it but tones down the silliness.

O's episode 1 review

So i just saw the premiere of O's FINALLY! And here are my thoughts:

A-Cool way to start the premiere by showing us some stuff about Greed.

B-O's (I still need to remember his real name) Had a nice introduction, i loved the scene with the vending machine, and the moment where he came out in his underwear! it shows what a simple minded guy he is, which i personally find is better than having some wise-crack rider.

C-The theme song will take getting used to, not that i don't like it, its just hard to let go of the W-B-X of Double.

D-I'm still not very cool with the bike-Vending machine idea, but as everything I'm going to have to deal with it.

E-First henshin was awesome up until the belt started singing, But i can really get used to that.

F-The action scenes were great, O's doesn't seem as bad as i thought, guess you can never judge a book by its cover.

G-Interesting cliffhanger.

So in conclusion O's was able to surprise me in many ways i look forward to seeing more!

Eiji reminds me a lot, I mean a lot, of Godai from Kuuga. To the point where, for now, I'm inclined to regard Eiji as essentially Kobayashi's take on Godai. There's even some points where O's first episode follows the basic beats of Kuuga's and Eiji's motivation is much the same.
