[Rider Kick]

Well I like the series even though I"m thoroughly Reminded of Scott Pilgrim when he fights. The Rider kick....wow that was kinda lack luster I mean I love the tribute to Ohja, but it didnt do much. The main character is goofy but not Ryoutaro goofy I think can stick with it. The Greed's I dont know for some reason I keep thinking of them as hype up costumes of Agito's Lords and Blade's Undead. There are also various aspects of other Rider series I keep coming up with or noticing. Well it's only episode one and I give all series a ten episode watching before passing judgement.

At first, Ankh was a douchebag, but thanks to Eiji's determination to save every human life, he gave Eiji the OOO Driver and core medals as well.

I think you may be excessively kind to Ankh here. In the dialog, Ankh makes it clear that he finds Eiji's strong desire to save the police detective interesting, he doesn't say it's laudable or admirable. It seemed clear to me that Ankh was attracted purely by the strength of Eiji's desire itself, not the nature or object of the desire.

In short, if Eiji had wanted anything very strongly, Ankh might have responded to him. It just happened to be a strong heroic desire that Ankh noticed. Kind of like how it's the robbers' completely negative desire to rob the museum that awakens Ankh in the beginning. I hope if and when it's time for OOO to get a secondary Rider, the show does something with this.

Surely there's some dickbag Asakura type wandering around who could partner up with one of the other Greeds based on his desire to kick people's faces in? That would be pretty great.

Ankh also calls Eiji an idiot before that. I think the purpose is just to use Eiji to collect the medals for Ankh, that might also be why OOO doesn't have any showings of complete Bird Forms

i suspect the same. it seems to me that the bird medals may be much later or the end boss will be all the bird medals but the one ozu has -its possible anku right hand doesn't know what his body is doing. At any rate it seems to me that the series still warming up they will have to do something good in order for it to hold interest.

Now it did do something right like showing all the medals that are currently in their hands. 2 red-one for the belt one for the arm-2 green and 1 yellow so assuming all greed have about 9 medals 3 for each set then he has another 40 to get. Im kind of thinking what will happen if he gets a full set.

Wow. I already like this series. Great introduction. Can't wait for the rest of it.

It has the comedy of Den-O with a better main protaganist. I say this cause Eiji Hino is an idiot and thats what gives this show it's charm.

OOO is pretty cool too. Design is growing on me, but the form changes are pretty awesome.

So, great series so far. Oh yeah, Ankh is amazing.

Strange, last year when Double started, I wasn't this excited and didn't watch much. This pretty much sucks me in all the way. Maybe it's Decade's fault.

I like the Kogami dude. An oracle/prophet like character? That'd be intresting, good contrast between the mob boss Ryubei and prophet like Kogami.

Let's hope he's not another Narutaki :laugh:
