A little late to the party, but episode two was .. well, interesting. I can't say more than anyone else has -- it just seems like Bandai puked in a bucket and threw it on the screen, then Kobayashi had to put the pieces back together. At this point it's not so much I'm blaming her as I pity her.

I just have to say the whole core medal, medal, Greeed, Yummy stuff is giving me a headache. I may not be a professor but I don't live in my mother's basement either and I'm still scratching my head trying to figure it all out. I can't imagine Japanese kids are doing much better than I.

I can honestly say this is the first Toku that I will continue to watch for a character other than the hero. Ankh is the only thing keeping me going past episode two. Sure I watched Faiz for Kiba -- but I watched it equally for Takumi. This just feels weird. Wrong. But Eiji/OOO does nothing for me at all. Not going to drop it mind you, that's kind of silly at this point but they've had more than enough time to prove the characters to me and just aren't doing that.

Other than that, reading over the pages I've missed -- "Children's show" No **** Sherlock, all of us totally missed that when we signed up here. That doesn't excuse piss poor execution especially when we've seen past shows do it well and not pander. Also, this is a discussion thread.. to ya know, discuss! The good, the bad, and the ugly. Not the "stroke OOO' cock" thread.

Finally, I believe I said it during Kabuto and I distinctly remember being told I was over reacting -- Bandai has gotten too much control over these shows. And it was only going to get worse. I saw it coming when it was reported a quarter of Power Rangers' budget came from Bandai and they were outright paying for things like the Battlizer and Motocycles just so they could turn around and sell the toys. I can only imagine they are further in bed with the Japanese productions, it seems very much that way and these producers need to tell them to back the **** off or they'll go to Takara or something.

But seriously, if you guys hate this show so much why do you bother with this thread? When I gave up on Double I gave up on the thread too, and it was probably better for everyone. If you don't like something, you don't like it. You don't have to justify it to everyone and their brother, your opinion is what it is.

I've been thinking about it more and I'm pretty sure I'm just interested in OOO because it looks like a wonderful money drain trainwreck.

I don't know if that means I like it or hate it.

Honestly, with this being only the second episode, compared to the second episode of Goseiger, this show has done a lot more to draw me in. Awesome looking character designs, great plotpoints to be set up later, and one hell of a badass hero.

Yeah Ankh is cool i guess, but he's not the reason I'm watching the show.

I'd pick this over watching the Goseiger cast stumble over another 20 episodes any day.

t's not a problem that people post their strong opinions, but it's the repitition that's kind of tiring.

So do you guys think Ankh will give Eiji the medals whenever he has to transform? Will he be able to keep the medals and the belt himself later in the show?

I made a thread on how it was before the show came out and there are two quotes there. I removed the names of the posters because I didn't want to out them and both of them ended up liking the show by the end.

And see I think that's what has everybody in a tizzy. Let's pretend it gets really good by the end (not predicting, just pretending). However, there's going to be that one person who comes out is like "DUDE! THIS SHOW WAS SHITTE" and that causes uneccesary conflict. Plus, I still don't think it's fair to drop a year-long show before it has time to develop especially two episodes in. I mean, you could make a case for "I wasted two months on this and hated it" of eight episodes or, hell, even five episodes could be enough to suffice. But two? That's just so unbelievably low that it just seems unfair to anyone.

I checked out the thread and I did acknowledge what people said. Do note what some people were talking about - They thought it looked stupid from the preview pictures. And as they saw it in action it worked out better than they thought.

I'm always willing to give things a shot. Among my friends I'm said to have the golden standards of low standards. :anime: But episode 2 was such a whiplash from 1 for me it's really really hard for me to want to give it another go.

I did want to touch on one thing, though: Why does it need to throw people into a tizzy? Why can't I say I didn't like it or other people? I've said it before: NOBODY is saying that the show is a super piece of shite that nobody should watch or that it killed Santa Claus. If you've liked it so far, continue to do so! People on the internet not liking it shouldn't affect your enjoyment. If I hear it's improved or does something interesting I might be willing to give 'er another go. But for the moment there's other things I dig I could be watching.

Something has me thinking.

The first monster said it would be dangerous for Eiji to use the OOO Driver(?), and the OOO Driver(?) was used to seal the Greed away. The OOO Driver(?) also uses core medals (three I might add) to power it. Is it possible that the OOO Driver(?) was what was used to create the Greed in the first place?

I really hope that becomes a plotpoint later, that the Driver was originally used by the Greed, they became so greedy over it that when they used it it changed them, but we find out that because Eiji doesnt really WANT anything and just lives day to day he doesnt have any greed in him and is able to use it safely.

Maybe thats why Ankh is giving him only one medal or 2 medals of a type at a time. What if 3 at the same time would turn him into a greed? Just an idea for a plot element that might not go anywhere.
