ラトラーター = Lion, Tiger and Cheetah. Notice that there are "ー" these things gives out a longer sound, so basically in romaji it would be "ratoraataa." But Toei has officially romanized it as LaTorarTar, meaning the "r" are the longer sounds.

ラトラタ= Lion, Tiger and Octopus. This time there are no "ー", so there are no longer sounds. In romaji that would be "ratorata". If we go by Toei's official romanized version, it should be LaToraTa. Just skip the longer sounds.

Cheetah is written チーター, while Octopus is written タコ. Octopus will always have a short "a" sound while cheetah has a longer "a" sound.
