No. This is basically the normal month to month cycle. The toy catalog was the big thing for OOO the beginning of the month

Month- Late 20's of the month usually brings us snippets of magazine scans

Near the end of the month- High Quality full magazine scans

Around the second week of the month is when things slow down

3rd week- still quiet

4th week- Repeat step one

I know a guy who had the same idea...and it's still a bad one that not only projects a real world reason onto something that is already explained in the show, but also misses the point about Philip's character, imo.
