I'm pretty sure the Mega-Smasher from Guyver is a gimmick exactly lifted from one of the 70s Super Robots that was desperate to have a novel variation on Mazinger's Breast Fire.

(And if the Mega-Smasher doesn't remind you at least a little of Breast Fire, I'm... just going to assume you've never seen Mazinger.)

For me it is just one of those cases where the derivative is a closer parallel than the original. Like how despite being based off of or at the least drawing influence from Superman there are cases where a character or reference is closer to Captain Marvel than Superman, even discounting the Billy Baston angle.

FangJoker was an upgrade. TaJaDoru is just another Greed combo.

Maybe because TaJaDoru didn't appear in the early promotional stuff(and the rumors up to just lately, being near the Dec. movie), that people are thinking that it's the midseason upgrade. Also, the blurry pic does show that the helm design is different(more aerodynamic?) than the normal Taka mask, and the gold ring around the animal logos on the chest part(which we haven't seen on other combos except the TaToBa, which is the primary combo) does tell us that this isn't *just* another combo.

Maybe Ankh is far stronger than the other Greeed, given the redesign of the Taka helm?

FangJoker was an upgrade. TaJaDoru is just another Greed combo.

But it's seems to be more powerful and special than the other full combos like FangJoker or Rising Kuuga was more powerful than the other forms.

Also, like FangJoker, the base mask changes when it didn't in the other forms.

There was a bowgun toy listed as OOO's power up weapon for January. So, TaJaDoru has been officially referenced as a power up.

It probably won't be just a combination of 3 Core Medals. There'll be something special about it, like Ankh fusing with one of the medals, some kind of mechanical attachment or Ankh going all Den-O and combining with Eiji to create this. I don't think it'll just randomly break the rules created up to now.
