Right, those guys were the first ever Secondary Riders that obtained Ultimate Forms (I for one count G3-X as an ultimate form for G3 at least). But then again these were also the first ever secondary riders ever in the history of Heisei Kamen Rider.

Knight as a secondary rider of the next season had his own Ultimate form, however after him there were few secondary riders that got an ultimate form, with Chalice being the only exception. Then Gatack got Hyper Form but only for a Hyper Battle Video.

It wasn't until Zeronos got Zero form that we started seeing Secondary Ultimates more and more. So yeah, Secondary Ultimates have been around since the first Secondary Riders, just hasn't actually been a regular thing till Zeronos. Really Birth not getting an ultimate form (or another form at all anyway) in the show shouldn't be a surprise (hell Diend didn't get one till a movie).

^There are 10 versions of Ixa that looks the same. They can keep upgrading Birth without noticing any different. Birth's drill arm got an upgrade before.

Nope.It's actually something for Gotou.IT INCREASES HIS ABS TO DATE SIZE.

For Date, it gives him an edible armor made out of oden ingredients.The Birth Buster sprays the soup and all those little gashapon marks turn into bowls

But people don't want an upgrade that simply opens up your mask (seriously, what in the world was Burst Mode for IXA supposed to do?) but want an ultimate form. Although to me, just Super Speed is not enough to be considered an Ultimate Form, as is the case for Accel Trial.

if you want to get into the nity grity details- save mode 'saved' the energy or somthing like that- and every so often it had to vent the steam (which causes great stress on the user's body) so like a limiter sort of thing

burst mode releases the excess energy (notice how a ball of fire spread out every time the mask opens) as heat so it doesn't strain the user as much =p

Of course none of that is really ever shown (that whole Burst Mode releasing flames really just looks like an extra attack) because they only used Save mode as a form for the 86 IXA and then Burst Mode was simply the default mode of present IXA. If they had actually used Save mode in the present it would've made Burst Mode and Save Mode make much more sense then simply having one and the other be the different look of IXA from the different eras.

The armor would be called Kamen Rider Birth: Den-O Form for Date.It's because of the reverse part in Reverse/Re:Birth.
The armor that gives Gotou gigantic abs is a rebirth of Gotou.
