Kamen Rider Legend RPG?!

Some of you may know that I have starting writing a Fanfic involving the Kamen Rider franchise....

But I had thoughts that maybe instead of writing it, maybe it can be an RPG where people participate together and journey through 40 years of Kamen Rider together.

It would need planning and time...

But if I did this.....would you play? Would it be better than a fanfic? :laugh:

Whats hard is that in my fanfic, is that the other Riders in the past 40 years have side roles until the second half of the story where they will participate in a important role. I have thought about splitting the RPG in two halves and there would be a time gap between the two for people to relax abit.

And..

Maybe a special RPG for a movie plot I have thought about :laugh:

The first half is about Legend and his story (e.g character development, figuring out how to use Legend's powers ect) in his own world against the organisation DARKNESS until the second that involves other worlds and other Riders and the fight against DARKNESS in a universal scale.

I have planned for twists in this story but I wanted to know if people are interested.

Considering that his Kamen Rider Legend fanfic is suppose to be his idea for a "Kamen Rider 40th anniversary," I'd have to say that every SINGLE DAMN RIDER would be available if this was turned into a RPG.

However, for an idea as epic as his, I'd say he should continue writing it as a fanfic. Now my suggestion doesn't mean he can't start a RPG for Kamen Rider Legend, but I feel that his idea would work best if it was done through one writer in order to avoid inconsistencies. If Kamen Rider Legend completely became a RPG on a forum, there would be a ton of inconsistencies from the "original story" due to several other people contributing different ideas based on the character they're playing in the RPG/story.

So I'd say to Ryuu.........make Legend both a RPG and fanfic, that way the RPG might give you ideas on how to write future chapters of the actual fanfic. At the same time, the original fanfic will be able to maintain a consistent plot-line........instead of the RPG, where the plot-line can change dramatically from beginning to end

The fanfic I'm writing will be the "true" story with the real ending ect. where this RPG will be a "what if" story where the original's main story are still there but how the story actually plays out will depend on the players.

Separating a KR Legends fanfic and the RPG is certainly a good choice. Another option, given the possibility that the RP could just die while incomplete, is to do the 'prequel' as a shorter fanfic, then throw it up to a forum RP, and then finally doing a 'conclusion' story depending how the RP comes out and from player inputs.
