Kamen Rider Kuuga - Talkback

Since this thread was mostly unused, I figure I'd use it since my copy of Kuuga that I bought from Knight finally arrived. *does a happy dance*


So far I've watched episodes 1 and 2 and subs aside (they use what I presume are the Chinese names for characters and locations, plus sometimes they just don't sub lines, and lastly, they like to put the translation of different characters lines on at the same time, which can be a bit confusing given they both appear at once), I'm loving this show.

The fight scenes are solid and this is a pretty cool way to transform. He doesn't actually say Henshin or anything, he just starts fighting. That's a great way to prevent that old joke commonly made about Toku shows. ("The enemy could attack while he's transforming!")

I do have some questions though:

-What's the point of the White Form?

-Is the Red Form his standard form?

-Did the vampire monster featured in episode 2 die? It didn't seem like it, and I KNOW Kuuga didn't kill it.

-How many forms does this guy have? I could wiki it, but I don't wanna know what the forms do yet.

At the start, it's just a basic form. Later on you find out that Kuuga will turn white if he is seriously injured.

Yup.

Five basic forms (red, white, blue, green, purple), four Rising forms(gold + red, blue, green, purple, depending on which form he uses), then Amazing form(black) and finally Ultimate form(black again)

Kuuga's forms and powers are pretty much:

Rising Form (Red) - Strength
Blue: High Jumps and a Staff
Green: A shooter sort of gun thingy
Purple: Titan Form, has a sword :3

I want those hours of my life back from watching Kuuga.

Too much mystery, not enough action. It's not really dark enough for me, that's why I'm getting Rider Black!

Subs suck pretty bad on the HK sets too, I'm not buying another HK set (unless it's copies, and I trade for them XD).

That's my 5p on Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Keep watching Sage. He'll revert to his White Form - or Baby Kuuga as I've called it several times in the series. His forms are pretty much what ppl have said - but I'll list his names:

Red: Rising Form
Blue: (Slipping my mind at this point)
Green: Pegasus Form
Purple: Titan Form
Black: Mighty/King Form
Note: there's your usual powerup as well, but you'll see.


Vampire guy : he'll be back.

RK: are you referring to the constant mysterious aura they maintain or are you saying they didn't answer everything? Just wondering...

I thought Kuuga was amazing. For those that like "dark" shows, it doesn't really get much more bleak than how Kuuga is a lot of the time.

And think of the white form as a "blank" one. It's too bad though, the white looked really awesome. They should've lengthened the horns and made it one of his more powerful forms.

I've only seen the first three episodes of Kuuga , but I loved what I saw.

BTW , Red isn't called "Rising" , it's called "Mighty" , and Blue is "Dragon". "Rising" is the term added to the powered-up versions of each armor.

It is usually "blank," but it seemed to me he reverted to it when he was [HIDE]injured or tired (both). Hence, his transformation seems dependent on his mental state as well.[/HIDE] That's why I call it his "Baby Form" - Yeah, I'm kiddyfying it but hmm, you're point could stand as well. Kind of like a "Wild Form."

And you're right. Rising is the wrong designation for Red Form. Thanks BR.

I don't really care for dark/bleak since I'm a pretty happy guy, but Kuuga seems fun. Yusuke (Wudai :laugh seems really nice.

As a sidenote, I don't see this "cheapness" in Kuuga that some people see. Anything that's wrong with this show vid-wise can be blamed on the quality of the DVD itself.

Anyway, I just watched 3 and 4. I take it that kick-ass bike he got is going to be the one he uses from now on? He did some nice stunts with it in 4 but that chase was stupid as hell. I kept wanting him to hop off that damned bike and whoop some ass! :laugh:


Okay, one HUGE problem I have with these HKs is that, whenever we see the Unidentified Beings, the subs disappear, and I have no idea what they're saying. Is this the same with everyone's, or what? Also, I take it the one featured in four and five is part of a group of what seems to be about four, not counting what I thought was the vampire guy again in 3.

Also, was what he used to finish of UB No. 5 his Rider Kick? If so, not bad...:thumbs:


Edit: Another sidenote. I emailed Ken from CA and found out my Agito DVDs are done and will be on their way next week! :buttrock: :buttrock:

Black/Gold-Amazing Form (or Amazing Mighty Form)-Fusion of all the Mighty Forms

Black/Gold/Silver-Ultimate Form-Final Form (also his Berzerker form as this form can turn him evil)
