History:
Xeph, known in some parts of Fantasia as the Conquering Silver Wind, is quite possibly the greatest swordsman in all of Fantasia, and one of its most fearsome warriors. Long ago, in times almost forgotten, Xeph was a conqueror who sought power at every turn. To gain power and test it against worthy foes was enough for this man. Unfortunately for him, however, the royalty of Fantasia saw him as a threat, and they were right to fear him. Xeph believed that those with power were the ones meant to rule, and that the victor should take the power of the defeated. Whether this be a sword, a relic, an army, a kingdom, or even the defeated foes themselves, if there was power to be gained from a victory then the victor had a right to it, at least, if they desired it after the battle. It was for these believes and the act there of that Xeph earned his reputation as a conqueror. The Fantasian Royalty were hard pressed to find a solution to the issue of Xeph but were not sure how he should be dealt with. It wasn’t until a scout informed them that Xeph intended to somehow challenge the Great Spirits of old that they made a rash decision. They challenged Xeph to battle, and he excepted unenthusiastically, seeing the Royal Family as to weak to challenge him at that point. During the battle, in which there were many casualties, a member of the Royal Family, whose identity is debated over to this day, created an overwhelmingly powerful, ten lair seal which caught the otherwise noble warrior by complete surprise. He was no stranger to deceit in battle, but he expected far more from the so called “Royals” then to seal him away mid-battle.
No one knows exactly how long he was sealed, or what he did while in that state. Most believe he survived the centuries of imprisonment due to his incredibly focused mind, and his unique body, which was the result of many Fantasian clans mixing blood, making him, in essence, a mutt with the best qualities of multiple types of Fantasians. When the Royal Family fled from their land to Earth, one of the seals holding him cracked slightly. In that moment, Xeph released centuries, perhaps even millennia, of pent up power, shattering all the seals and freeing himself. Once again he could gain power, once again he could do battle and wage wars. He needed time to recuperate, however, and so chose to visit the beasts of the mirror world. He fought many of these creatures, slaying them and taking their life force as his own, while also forecing a few of the more powerful of these creatures to serve him after defeating them.
He realized that before he went any further he would need a new sword. His old one was lost during his ancient battle, but not just any sword would do. After a few days of searching, he eventually found rumor of the Fanguire Kings legendary sword, Zanvat, and went forth to claim it. He fought the Fanguire king, enjoying his first true battle in centuries, and claimed not only the sword, but the loyalty of a being called Kivat Bat the 2nd. With this Kivat, who soon became something of a friend to the somewhat ancient warrior, he was able to become Dark Kiva. This form was far beyond what he expected, and what more he could use it while in his True form, causing the transformation to be even stronger then normal. Using this form, he hunted down and enslaved other powerful Fantasians and used them for everything from weapons and vehicles, to food for his new home, the Castle Doran. With these acts the older Fanguire began worshiping Xeph as one of the great old Kings reincarnated, as the last few kings had been great disappointments to their race. He now had a small army and great power at his disposal, his next step was a mystery even to himself.
It was at this point that he was approached by a being called Aesir, an overwhelmingly powerful being whose strength was a surprise even to Xeph. He did battle with the being, and was quite surprised when he lost. Aesir did not kill him, however, instead choosing to use Xephs power and talent by making him a Shadow Knight. Xeph agreed with neither anger nor pleasure, living by the code that he expected from others as well as himself. He now serves Aesir, but makes it very clear, even to his current master, that if the moment ever arises where Aesir is weaker then Xeph, that he will strike him down and take his power as his own.
