Kamen Rider Gaim - Lock 08 "Baron's Newfound Power, Mango!"

Gaim 8:

- Why are these tears so surprising to these people when they seem them all the time from Invess and fruit armors being summoned?

- That Wiley Coyote cliff gag wasn't necessary.

- They still haven't exactly explained what the point of the Invess Game as it's marketed to the masses is. How are Kaito, Mai, etc. participating supposed to let them get back at Yggdrasil? Especially when Yggdrasil is running the whole thing.

- Shouldn't Ryugen have a katana sidearm too?

- That's Bandai talking through you, Kouta. Mango armors are silly, not "cool"

- So why does Mango's finisher say "Au Lait" while the others say "Squash"?

- Bat Invess = Zu Gooma Gu redux? Probably not, but that would be cool. May it at least be better than waste-of-time Spider Fangire.

Because every other appearance have been when they use them. These are tears that appeared on their own, without any influence from a Lock Seed.

Each belt have three finishers depending on how many "slashes" they do.
One Slash = Squash.
Two Slashes = Au Lait.
Three Slashes = Sparking.

Hibiki had GREAT ratings, but suffered from poor toy sales. We all know what happened to that show.
Hibiki's first half had ratings basically on par with Blade's, the lowest ratings Heisei Rider had seen up to that point. Hibiki's average ended up higher due to Inoue's episodes.

Anyway, there's a positive point about Gaim's ratings so far in that they don't seem to be dropping from the start, unlike other recent series. 2-4 were lower but then 4 and 5 managed to match the first episode. It'd be interesting if that's a trend.

I think only Gaim and Zangetsu have them. I initially thought it was because they share the same undersuit design under their Arms, just in different colours. But Kurokage might have the same undersuit too (I can't really get a good look at it while watching the show, and being mostly black you can't see the details as well) and he doesn't have one, so now I'm not sure.

Kurokage has a similar undersuit, but it doesn't seem to have the leg scales that Gaim and Zangetsu share. I guess it's meant to be ninja themed, rather than Samurai themed, and that's why he lacks the sword.

why do people still think Kurokage is ninja-themed

Is it because of the whole "black shadow" thing? Because Kurokage definitely doesn't looks like a ninja at all, he looks more like an Ashigaru (Japanese footsoldier). And ninjas don't carry a long spear as weapon anyway, it's too impractical for them.

......Ryugen isn't even "Japanese", he's based on a Chinese soldier

If he should have a sword, it definitely won't be a katana.
A Dadao (basically a Chinese falchion) would be more appropriate.
