It might make for a very interesting conundrum when fighting the Zodiarts: deal enough damage to make them unable to stop you from deactivating their switch, but don't do so much damage that you kill them, and the human they've 'possessed' :hmm:

Pointless speculation.
They might have a new artist up their sleeve which they want to promote through the show rather than the other way around. Some random contractual obligations might have emerged that were not sorted out yet.

Well, most of the switches are weapons, only a couple actually change his form.
