Kamen Rider English Adaptions

Could anyone make up any Kamen Rider adaptions? So far there have been three on the Fiction board. Except none have shown any character profiles and well... stories. Can anyone make any more adaptions?

Here's an example:

Kamen Rider Phize Story:
Beast-like mutants called Orphenochs have been crawling around the streets, cities and everywhere, because of some strange virus that was created by Smart Brain. A corporation of genetic research and wild experiments. These Orphenochs were thought to be a new generation of humans, but are nothing but monstrosities harming humans. The president of the United States planned to shut down the corporation and turn it into a high school.

The corporation "which was now hidden underground" created special equipment: belts designed for the Orphenochs called: the Kamen Riders. Unfortunately, one of the Orphenochs, a former president of Smart Brain stole the belts and plans to give them to certain students.

A year passed, and a girl named Maria was given the Phize Belt and the letter from her father, the President, said to deliver the Belt to a man who would be powerful enough to control its power. She meets a boy named Tony, a former employee of Smart Brain. Tony is given the belt by and becomes Kamen Rider Phize to fight against the Orphenochs. But he isn't the only one to fight against them. A student named Julian who was injected by the virus by Smart Brain becomes one along with two friends, Selena and Noah to fight against the mutations from harming humans.

So... basically what you're asking is has someone taken the Kamen Rider series and made them "exactly the same" as the original Japanese show but changed some names?

Um... err... I guess I would have to ask why would that even really warrant the need for a thread? I mean, I see what you might be trying to do (ala Dragon Knight) but to be blunt if you're going to do nothing but change some names, it's sort of pointless. The whole westernization thing grew out of a need to sell the material to an audience - I don't think that's the same problem it once was. And honestly, Faiz and Delta and Kaixa are all sort of Latin/numerical themes already. It seems redundant to me to respell words that are already latin/western in origin and to contradictory to rename things but then not translate the title...

Maybe I'm missing something here???

Now wait a second... I'm not trying to say you suck or "LULZ WUT UR PROBLUM n00b?!"... really, I could see you're trying to do something on the level of Dragon Knight or the Power Ranger franchise in its early days - making an American adaptation and what no. The problem is, you're better off taking some of the ideas and visuals/trappings of the series and making something new that uses the essence of the old. Why give yourself the artificial limitation of "working within the Japanese" story and fight scenes like PR or MR may have when you don't have to? Because don't forget, your imagination and a pen and paper don't have an effects budget. :anime::castlerock:

My suggestion would be to look at what you like about Faiz (good choice too, my first KR series I saw beginning to end) and go from that. This may not be the best example but if you look at Guyver 2, you can see how the Wang Brothers (who now produce/direct/are involved with Dragon Knight) took from the Guyver lore and made something their own. :dance:

Well... at least some encouragement would make me happy. Can any one of your show me your ideas of how any of the Kamen Rider series would be? I would like to see stories, characters, forms that were never seen on the Japanese versions but on fan fiction and SIC!

It sounds like you're trying to correlate the Rider shows with other media now? I'm not sure I see all of your comparisons, but I guess what you're trying to do is put the different shows into categories (undead stuff with undead stuff, etc). I'm not sure you're going about this the right way... and I've got college and work to worry about so I'm afraid can't indulge your experiment here too much. If you want to read some really cool fan fic that borrows from anime and other rider shows, you can always read my series Kamen Rider Thrust. Part of the problem with the exercise you're suggesting (making up new shows using old shows), at least for me, is I find it a tad bit too unoriginal and derivative - and too limiting. If I'm going to bother reusing suits and imagery and then make up everything else, I'd just as soon make it all up and not worry about "using suit X because it looks cool". Furthermore, I would find "americanizing" the shows to be just as divisive among fans as Power Rangers is... "OMG UR DOIN IT RONG!" being a common complaint. I would just as soon use my own thoughts with maybe a little inspiration.

Off the top of my head, I guess you could go with the idea of Blade and Resident Evil/zombies... but I couldn't begin to really come up with something without sitting down and thinking about it for awhile. I guess I would use real undead as opposed to "monsters", and would probably not go so heavily with the power ups and card theme - but that's just me. Maybe something along the line as the researchers/zombie hunting organization whimsically dubbing the different undead as different card numbers/suites and probably exploring the idea that the strongest undead are secretly being used as a Rider system and may corrupt humans, much like Leangle did. I'd also play up the same sort of conspiracy around it like you see in Neon Genesis Evangelion.

If its a human with a little bit of mutant blood, he is destroyed. If it is a full-fledged mutant, than it is remained unharmed.
