Kamen Rider Dragon Knight the Game??

Yeah, guys....... not cool talking about pirating a game whose producer was nice enough to swing our way for an interview.

The game is pretty crazy cheap too...

While I don't want to rag on you... juuust don't want to hear about it here.

Import games... not as much an offense. But domestic releases like this... that's not cool.

That's a cop-out bullshit excuse. The game is $30. Downloading a ROM and using the excuse of "oh, I can't afford it" is just dumb.

True, but some people download ROMs to do video game reviews on YouTube, especially for handhelds because recording a handheld screen directly from a camera would look like **** and too bright.

Now if only DS emulators weren't so shitty and could record with CamStudio, then maybe I could review it, but I can only do the Wii version since I have a DVD recorder.

But I'm not pirating the DS version since I already own the game.

Is it true the DS version is a port of the PSX Ryuki game? This was stated in comments on youtube, and I can't seem to find anyone who has the DS version to confirm or deny it.

I enjoyed the Wii version and was thinking of importing the psx Ryuki game, but this would be a much better alternative if true.

Neither Dragon Knight game is in anyway a port or related to the PSX Ryuki game other than using "Ryuki" (and thus Dragon Knight) as the stylistic basis of the characters/powers/enemies used and being under the "Fighting" game genre.

The DS game, from what I've heard is pretty different from the Wii title, as it is more focused on strategic gameplay than a straight up beat'em up: you can fight multiple characters on a stage; careful timing, use and, choice of Cards is crucial; and the game has no multiplayer feature as the characters level up after battles and get continually stronger and more difficult as the game goes on.

It was also made by a different design team (though still released by D3Publishing) than the Wii title/Climax Heroes.

So don't expect a PSX port, but the DS game is a different take on the concept from the Wii Dragon Knight. I can't speak from experience but you should probably give it a shot to see if you like it.

Though to be honest, why did people think they'd use the PSX game? It was a couple console generations ago (it was released around 2002-2003) and fixing the coding and performing an overhall of the game engine to 2009 standards would likely be much more expensive to do than just making something new, or using a more recently prefabricated engine (such as the Wii Climax Heroes engine). I mean I know it was a "Ryuki" game but I don't think that Bandai/Adness were ever that desperate.

In short, don't believe everything you hear on Youtube, especially if comes from the comments section.

Since I seem to be one of the only people out there who managed to find the DS game, I guess I'll comment on it. I wouldn't exactly say that the DS game is focused on "strategic gameplay". It's very much a cross between a traditional fighting game and a beat-'em-up. It does, however, require some thought with the use of advent cards. Only real issues I have with the game are the slow down when you have a bunch of enemies on screen, and the lack of a throw. Oh, and the lack of multiplayer, that sucks too.

You don't need to use the touch screen at all. It's only used to select a target, but you can also use the select button to just cycle through all of the opponents on screen, which tends to be far easier to use, especially in missions where you have to attack a specific target (yes, the game has an homage to the Street Fighter "Break the Car" bonus stage, except with enemies attack you at the same time).

hey , im getting teh game for xmas, i wanted to ask, for the mirror world missions can you be any rider or do you have to be wing knight or dragon knight
