Decade is the only KR series that can fit in continuity with any of the others :loltongue:

For those of You who care my personal Theories (Please take note I have not watched any Sowa era rider shows nor Agito or all of Kiva):

All the Showa era stuff is in one dimension. Kuuga and Agito Share one, G-3 being proof of this. Ryuki is on his own, but could take place in the Agito and Ryuki one as his time line resets. Faiz is off in his own world. Blade is off in his own little world as well as well THERE WAS A NEAR APOCALYPSE THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN! Hibiki is in his own world as with all the tech and sensors other riders have they probably would have found and fought Makamou. Kabuto again in his own world as we never hear about the Shibuya meteor again. Den-o, Own universe, I mean they've screwed up time so much probably half these riders would not exist if they shared a time line, not to mention they travel to Den-o's world in Decade, which with movies is shown to be cannon. The Kiva-Den-o Movie has their own world. Kiva, may share with the Showa dimention but I'm not sure. Decade travels to diffident worlds. Double and OOO share a world as show by Kamen RIder Double; The Gaia memories of Destiny. Movie War core 2010 has it'S own world as so many characters act out of Character (Eiji, Ahkn, Kogami, etc) Though I like to think the SKull back story is Cannon (It was the only good part of the movie).


Now Fouze is tough as we have little info so far SO far my only guess is that he lives in a world that has other riders in it, and may possibly share a world with Double and OOO.

Movie War core 2010 has it'S own world as so many characters act out of Character (Eiji, Ahkn, Kogami, etc) Though I like to think the SKull back story is Cannon (It was the only good part of the movie).

Kogami wasn't out of character. Eiji wasn't either, but it's not really a change in his character but rather Eiji is all of a sudden competent in any form, AKA Tatoba. Ankh not exactly other than . . . I guess that Core portion but other than that Ankh wasn't that off.

Am I the only one who really hates the obsessive need to have everything be in one giant, canonical universe? I think it's more grating when I see it amongst Ultra fans ([Movie X] TOTALLY MEANS ALL THE ULTRAMEN ARE IN ONE UNIVERSE!!!1) but still. I don't hate people for thinking this way, necessarily, but I do STRONGLY disagree with this viewpoint that everything has to fall into a single universe.

This. I'm sorry but this. I understand the concept of having passion, (as I think it's THE prerequisite to being an honest geek about anything.) and I've had many a debate about Toku and comics that's been in this kind of area, but for this....yeah. There's...just no need. As someone said, I don't think Toei cares about continuity right now. Or if they do, they're in the process of building one which, if you read ANY kind of DC Crisis, you can see how mucking around with the very base fabric of your stories and characters can make weird **** that is simply not understandable happen.

Thus: I'd say there's no point to worrying about it, or even discussing it. When Toei actually STATES that they're trying to/have created a continuity for Riders, then I'd say we can go ahead and dissect it all to pieces. But until then I think this is just over-thinking it.

It is never wrong to discuss something. It's all just good fun for the fans. I find it to be pretty bad form when someone says something shouldn't be discussed, when there's no harm in doing so. It brings people to think more which we can always agree is a good thing, and it's always interesting to see the different points of view on a subject.

Unfortunately, common sense seems to be one thing this fandom lacks.

Kamen Rider is separate stories in one world.* That's about as close to an official stance as you're going to get.


*Or worlds in Decade's case, but you already knew that.

If you follow other Japanese franchises, you'll see that actual direct statements about continuity and such are really rare in general. An statement like the one in Fourze's site, about the Riders fighting in parallel in different locations, is probably the closest you're going to get.

That said, considering how continuity isn't really the focus of anything, disliking the series or franchise, or even getting angry due to it, is silly, but I don't think that's happening here aside, aside from one or two exceptions.
