I'm confused. Every video I saw, Climax Time was activated before Supers were used. Could you point me to one where the opposite was true, or if it's been documented before?

If that's true, guess we're back to good ol' "keep an eye on the meter", except now with a giant counter window

In the Accel vs G3X video, Accel attempts to use his finisher before Climax Time but he misses it. Looking at it again though, it's not clear if he lost that meter from using rider cancels or if it was from missing though. Well regardless, you can use supers pre-climax time.

That video is... weird. He certainly used something. Whether or not it's one of the giant finishers, I can't be certain at all. I don't see a counter prompt (those things take up the whole second half of the screen), for starters. It's true he didn't lose meter after the first whiff. Maybe it's some sort of lower-level super? A la Clock Up?

(It might also be possible that G3-X didn't have full meter, which in turn didn't activate the prompt. He had very little meter just before being hit by the giant combo that happened before CT. Unfortunately, the video doesn't show all the meter, so...)

Ahhh, whatever, the game hits in a couple days tops.

That is what a whiffed finisher looks like and I just watched the full thing again, I didn't notice before but Accel tried to use his finisher earlier in the match and his meter didn't deplete. So the 2nd time, he was just wasting meter with rider cancels after whiffing the finisher.

In short, you don't lose meter no matter when you whiff your finisher...

It ain't rude, man, it's taste. Whether you paid for it or not is moot. Seeing a bunch of "can't wait for the ISO!" posts is just weird, is all. I could almost understand if the game was out, and even then, that's the mods' business, not mine.

LOL I'll give that to you I'm just glad there appears to be some kind of countermeasure this time around. I never saw the point in declaring this or most other fanservice licensed fighters to be broken piles of garbage that were impossible to have fun with. Hell, my crowd still plays the DBZ Tenkaichi series for fun on a regular basis.

All these discussions and leaked vids are making for sweet fun, at any rate. I can't wait for this game.
