Sad news guys, the seiyuu for Kabuto, Takishita Tsuyoshi, just passed away yesterday. It seem that's he was killed by an accident when heading home. Other than Kabuto, he's also the seiyuu for Sima Yi from Shin Sangoku Musou.

why, why are the good ones die early!!?

seriously, he's one of the little number of VA's that actually doesn't suck when filling in the shoes of the original actor, although he still can't beat Garren's replacement VA in authenticness...R.I.P Takishita Tsuyoshi, at least you've(probably) recorded your role in Battride War and DW8 and thus have a legacy to pass on, so long!

As someone who has never played a Kamen Rider game before, do the characters ever appear without the Kamen Rider suits? Do they have the Henshin sequences, or do they just appear in their suits and never leave them?

they never appear in human form in the modern rider games, mostly due to copyright hell from the actor's agency and whatnots

the ones that DO have human forms playable and has henshin sequences are these games:

-Kamen Rider(SNES)
-Kamen Rider(PS1)
-Kamen Rider V3(PS1)
-Super Tokusatsu Taisen 2001(PS1)
-Kamen Rider Genealogy of Justice(PS2)

and that's it, from there onwards we never see any human form combats or henshin sequences ever again

Well, there's also Kabuto's transformation sequence from Kabuto's first stage's cutscene in the PS2 Kabuto game (though it never QUITE shows his face, conveniently).
