The world is turned upside down as one of earth’s greatest super heroes – Flash – wakes up devoid of his super powers in the all-new Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox – the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Original Animated Movies. When time travel allows a past wrong to be righted for Flash and his family, the event’s temporal ripples prove disastrous, creating a fractured, alternate reality where the Justice League never formed, and even Superman is nowhere to be found. Amidst a new world being ravaged by a fierce war between Wonder Woman’s Amazons and Aquaman’s Atlanteans, Flash must team with a grittier, more violent Batman and government agent Cyborg to restore the continuity of Flash’s original timeline.

Primetime television stars Justin Chambers (Grey’s Anatomy) and Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy), the voices of Barry Allen/Flash and Thomas Wayne/Batman, respectively, unite with numerous greats of television and film to fashion the famed animated roles. Adding to the celebrity-laden voice cast and providing thrilling additions to the Justice League series are Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale, Friday Night Lights, Chronicle) as Cyborg, C. Thomas Howell (Southland, The Outsiders) as Thawne/Professor Zoom, Nathan Fillion (Castle) as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Ron Perlman (Hellboy) as Slade and Deathstroke, Dana Delany (Body of Proof) as Lois Lane, Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride) as Aquaman, Danny Huston (Magic City) as General Lane, Sam Daly (The Office, The Daly Show) as Superman, and Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman.

I remember watching the interview with Kevin Conroy when he let accidently slip that he had worked on a project called Flashpoint. Really excited for this. I really think that with the new 52, and showing how it came about on film, will help DC and comic sales tremendously.

Frankly, I'm not expecting this movie to end with the New 52 being created, it would just confuse casual audiences who may not be interested in picking up a comic and just want to watch a nice bit of escpaism with a firm begining and end with everything resolved.

It would also be pointless. The DCAU films are rarely set in the same world, so introducing the New 52 would only work if you set every movie afterwards (or at least a great majority) in that world.

That's just like Kevin. I think he did the same thing at a con and let it slip how he had been working on Arkham City before anything about it was confirmed. :laugh: Either he's doing it on purpose, or he needs to be careful with his loose lips.

I'm really looking forward to this for 2 reasons:

1. It is about time we get a friggin Flash movie.
2. The entire Flashpoint universe was down right fantastic and far better than anything the N52 has put out. Not to mention it did something interesting for a change instead of having the characters just be their same generic selves. Aquaman and Plasticman were freaking bad ass. Lois Lane was more than just a damsel in distress. Wonder Woman was interesting for a change. Not to mention all of the low tier characters had some type of interesting tales.

Meh, I am interested to see if the DC's editorial demand to devalue Wally West continues in this project as it seems to have in others.

Otherwise, the only part of Flashpoint I was sort of down with was their version of Batman.

Secondly, Wally got to be the star Flash in JL/JLU. It is time we get a focus on Barry in animation.

I meant how it seems the Powers that Be have something against Wally for being a legacy. In the original comic, if memory serves me correctly, they killed Wally in that universe and then at the end when everything went almost back to normal the retconned him from existence.

I just wonder if despite not being the focus if they will do something similar.

Barry has been the Flash in every single animation since JLU ended (Crisis on Two Earths, Doom, Young Justice) and video games (MK vs. DC, DC Universe Online, and Injustice), so is not like there is shortage of it.
