Is Kamen Rider Kabuto.... Truly the One to Rule Over All?

My views on...
Kagami:

When he became TheBee, it was to show that TheBee, as any other Zecter, is one that goes to the chosen one. One who will do as they should. TheBee zecter was one that does things for the order. For the higher ups. One who follows the rules. "for the hive" :D So I think that little tidbit was perfect.
Normally Bees don't get jealous of other bees, since they all work together. But if your a normal bee, who is knighted to a special Bee, your bound to grow with jealousy if you see someone else who is as special as you(Kabuto)

That's a pretty good way to put it, but I still say the whole thing wasn't as done as well as it could have been. Like, why was Kagami magically the next chosen one? Why didn't they just jump right to Kageyama, who was introduced around that point and was going to get the Zecter anyway? It just feels cheap in retrospect, I think moreso because it was Kagami, the guy everyone was waiting to see turn into a Rider from the get-go. He finally does...and then, he loses it immediately. And he just becomes a "better" Rider later on anyway, so why did we even have that subplot?

Okay, I *guess* people can argue it was a way of showing that Kagami wasn't ready to accept the great responsibility that comes with the great power...but then why is the great power bestowed on a total asshat like Kageyama? Because he can sing the birthday song?

With Gatack, there was just so much better progression with that story, and it felt like Kagami really *earned* it, instead of just being the lucky doofus who gets it when it decides to leave Yaguruma, only to lose it next episode because it has virtually no attention span. On that note, I seriously think TheBee Zecter is the true "Hyper" Zecter of the show.

Don't get me wrong, I like Kagami, but like I said before, I think that whole Kagami-becomes-TheBee thing would have been better if he stayed as TheBee longer, or didn't become Gatack. Now, it's like...what if Jiiya becomes Sasword for an episode, just because? Actually, that would be kinda cool!

There's like a whole case of kickass right there.

If Kagami stayed as TheBee I would have found it kinda funny if Kageyama ended up becoming Gatack.

I guess Kagami being TheBee was to show the rider tatoos...but we never really got any backstory on those.

Have him become Sasword and Gon become Drake and you'd have a perfect team.

TheBee = ADDHD
Or a whore.

I am loving Kabuto so far.

I've watched Agito, but without subtitles, it's frustrating not to know what the characters are communicating about. I just finished Faiz, and it was an awesome series.

I wanna check out Kuuga, Ryuki, Blade, and Hibiki.

Also I checked on wiki and noticed there weren't any Kamen Rider series in the 1990s... weird.

I'm enjoying Kabuto, but I definitely felt that the directing was sloppy at times. Too many new riders are being introduced at too fast of a pace. Actually, the pace felt too fast and rushed on everything from Gon's kidnapping to Gatack's introduction. If it has a great ending though, I'll be sold. I really enjoyed Faiz' serious style until the last few episodes of it, I guess I was hoping of Kabuto to do the same. But oh well, different strokes for everyone. Some want more seriousness, some want more comedy.

And am I the only one who enjoys the TheBee zecter being passed around? I think it's really cool to see the same suit being used by multiple people and multiple styles, emphasizing the "gear" aspect of it.

*shrugs* I don't know. Both TheBee and Drake had nice little introductory sagas. Sasword sort of doesn't though, but Gattack definitely does. So that's four out of five? Not so bad, considering they shoved all of it into the first 25 episodes.

Yep, you are. :anime: It pisses me off. Unless there's a *really* good explanation for Kagami being TheBee later on, I will always think that was pretty stupid. The only reason Mishima doing it doesn't bother me is that I feel like that's something the writers know they must address later. Of course, Yaguruma to Kageyama is kind of interesting. Or would be if Kageyama weren't, as Igadevil so aptly put it, an asshat. And a bitch. Seriously, when Renaworm slapped him in episode 27 (or 28, I forget) and asked him if he "understood", and all he could do was say "H-hai...", who DIDN'T think in their mind (or even say out loud): "....Bitch."?

*shrugs* Up until recently, Kamen Rider was known to go on random breaks now and again.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed that Gon and Drake were gone so quickly though. Granted, they returned awhile ago. Admittedly it was stupid of me to think that Gon would be gone forever. Maybe it's really just with Sasword. Though, I really like his armored/rider design. Maybe I'll give them more credit once I rewatch the episodes.

Probably just to show that he values his relationship to Tendou more than his new toy. I was fine with TheBee being passed around for that sake, since I liked the design. Apparently not a lot of people agree with me though. :eyebrow:

And yeah, Kageyama is everyone's new slapping boy. I think they should've given him a deeper development at least, but oh well. Bad for me since I didn't like seeing everyone gang up on poor TheBee, but...

Admittedly it was creepy watching Kabuto, TheBee, Sasword and Gatack cooperate straight off the bat to eliminate the framed Daisuke a few episodes back. Made sense and was somewhat cool in a way, but sent chills down my spine.

By the way, I think I remembered someone official saying Kabuto is the last new gen rider series for awhile. And sorry if I forgot to introduce myself, these are my first few posts on the board. Good to meet you guys.:anime:
