Race issues, no. do you take me for a troglodyte under a rock? The ghettos of Brazil and South Africa, the Islamic descrimination in europe, these are horrible things and attack the foundations of thse countries, and many more which I don't wish to have the time to remember.
What I meant, and understandably misunderstood, is that you Americans obsess over race so much that's it's almost funny. White people paranoid all the time that they'll be considered a racist if they say anything against the black guy while said black guy is calling him a honkey cracker to his face (actually saw this on the bus one time.), the constant "that's Racist!" incidents you see pop up all the time. I mean, I just find it funny and bizarre how you people are always talking about race here when you want to get rid of race issues.
I don't remember a single season of power rangers existing without a black character so hence it's not racists in that affront yet there being no white people in the cast would not be racist? skin colors is still skin color and descriminating against one color is the exact same thing as descriminating against another skin color. Of all the countries I've been to (which are only three besides America mind you.) this country's racism, for the most part, makes me laugh a little. I hope that clears any misunderstanding up for you.
P.S. I hope no one misunderstands me on the subject. I just find it funny in America that racism is still such a talked about topic when it's trying to put racism away. it's a contradiction and an Oxi-moron. Why can't you just see the person part of a black guy before you see the black?
I'm going to edit this in the morning. when I'm tired, my spelling and grammer is atrocious in English.

You're confusing a lot of issues here. There are a lot of unconscious motivators in the way people perceive race -- the idea that white people are beautiful and heroic, black people are funny and stupid, Hispanics are lazy and Asians are doofy and smart -- that aren't going to go away just because we stop talking about them.
Unconscious racism thrives in a society where people pretend like race doesn't exist; it allows the blindly privileged to stay blind and privileged without ever having to think about the factors that contributed to getting them there, and silences people who suffer from actual instances of racism.

I feel like the obsession with being racially equal is a very American thing. Like the fact that we always have a black person, asian person, this person, that person as rangers almost every year. That whole obsession with trying to include someone who looks different from everyone else in a group is idiotic.
Like, we have African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Latino-Americans. What about just plain Americans? What other country does that crap?

Honestly I'm not a Power Ranger fan but I could've sworn that the red from ninja storm was black. could be mistaken though.
But you're talking about a situation which really can't be fought against without destroying something which is essentially human. A friend of mine, in a conversation similar to this one, said "let's face facts and look the matter straight in the face: everybody is a bigot. all that matters is how much of a bigot are you?" Racism is continue until we all look the same, act the same and think the same, as soon as another characteristic is brought into play the attack will happen and we'll start carving out our faces with knives.
I don't mean that the solution is to pretend that race doesn't exist, but to admit to yourself and that everyone else actually admits they themselves are also bigoted on some level, maybe not as much as others but deep down they are. but that goes into a philosophy of mine about humanity, which I won't bore you with here for it's pretty depressing and I don't want to bore you to tears. Basically, you will never do anything unless it's for your own benefit and racism serves this agenda as does fistfights do. You cannot get rid of it no more then you can get rid of fistfights, but you can certainly control it..

Those two seasons had more diversity to make up for, with a Lebanese and Samoan lead Red. Jungle Fury had the cracker lineup, 4 whites and one Asian. New Zealand does good in mixing up ethnicites compared to Los Angeles.
This is why we can't have diversity, people will always bitch if their nationality isn't represented in some amount, mostly with the leads. Smile's quote sounds like there has to be a black person in each season. At least it leaves the door open for such possibilities.

Also you can be racist toward people who aren't black, calling them cracker may not be an as frowned upon example, but it is an example.
