Is Goseiger's really that bad?

And you know what happened when Toei took a risk and stepped outside their comfort zone? Go-Busters. So yeah. To those who say Toei keeps playing it safe, now you know why...

There's also "I hate Alata because he's subtle" and "I hate Screaming Red #12 because he's in-your-face." And "I hate ____'s plot because it's too convoluted" and "I hate _____'s plot because it's too simple."

If we didn't know they weren't a bunch of people with different opinions, we'd think this fandom has schizophrenia.

Go-Busters' problem wasn't really that it stepped outside of the Sentai comfort zone, so much that it was unspeakably dull for reasons entirely unrelated to that.

I've never quite understood the hate for Alata, though. He'll never be my favourite red, that honour will always go to Jan, but he wasn't boring to watch, and he had personality, and he was a character type we didn't often get with reds.

I'll take Shinkenger & Gokaiger over series like Go-Onger, Goseiger, & Go-Busters anyday of the week.

I definitely agree with this. Alata & Brajira were the only good things about Goseiger.

I don't think it was that bad, I enjoyed it mostly. I also really like Go-Onger and Go-Busters.

In general, I'm a pretty big super sentai fan though, not really any series that I can say I truly dislike.

I think the lack of toys for the show probably hurt it more than the actual series itself

I watched epsiode 12 a few days ago and I'm starting to see the problems other sentai fans have said about this show.

1. Other Mecha Parts (Or as they call them "Headers") Coming out of No Where: Most Sentai in recent years will usually dedicate an entire episode to finding a new toy to sell or gaining it through learning about something like "Learn to share" "Help others first" etc. etc, but no not here. It seems like the writers just throw in the new toys to sell at the very last minute, like they really didn't want to write in that plot point or something. The fact that these new card abilities or mechs come out when the Goseigers become courageous or whatever is just such terrible writing.

2. Why didn't Moth Drekk just use that Planet Busting power in the beginning?: Like why send all the solders out there if you had this power already? If he did that like on the first or second episode and the GOseigers interrupted him or something and he became greatly weakened, I can understand that but why do it now? Did he just suddenly remember "Oh yeah! I have these god like powers that can bend any planet to it knees! How did I ever forget such a thing! Silly me!"

There's still things I enjoy about this show but those two things really bothered me so much that unless something changes then I don't know I may just have to drop the show :/ Either way I'm going to go start Megaranger.

I'd say that Goseiger is only weak in its' theme. But story-wise.....it's just "meh!" But, I think I might wanna put this on my re-watch list someday.

( Wow this thread is old haha XD )

Yeah I stopped watching Goseiger after ep 15. That's usually my cut off point with any sentai/rider series. If I'm not into it after 15 eps then I just stop watching it. Went on to Megaranger and loved that sentai. So good!
