So do I, but unfortunately they have already cut ties from the PR past and they are working on better things nowadays.
Is Bruce all that bad?

I'm sure the new EP whoever it is won't do the homework needed to EP PR.

The Bruce era should be seen as a failure and disaster for the show. We have an EP who failed to do his homework before taking the helm. He sees PR as merely a straight adaptation of the Sentai, whereas--especially if you look at the show's own pedigree--it's like Robotech is to Macross or Voltron to GoLion. It's a completely different beast. And it's not like Tzachor-era where they'd run with it and make it awesome. Brucie-era took the Sentai and watered it down and made it just plain lazy.
SPD started out looking awesome. It built itself a giant sandbox of a universe and possibilities inside it, then wasted it by doing the same Sky and Jack plot 20 times. This was the beginning of the "light-switch" character development in Bruce seasons. Characters learn a "lesson" then learn it again in another episode. The rangers out of nowhere have trouble getting along and Cruger acts like it's been a problem. It was sloppy writing, but good actors and a good overall plot kept the show from being a straight, boring, Deka rip.
Mystic Force could have done so much. But with the cut to 32 episodes and the unwillingness of the show to explore its own universe, something got lost. The characters were reduced to simple archetypes. Chip is goofy, Vida's a tomboy, Madison is quiet (and only got, what, ONE focus episode?), Xander is self-centered, and Nick is the freaking star of the whole damn show.
Mystic Force and Overdrive were damned painful to watch. SPD's shining points came from Greg's vision (we miss you Greg) and Jackie's solid writing. It's ironic though, that Bruce's best work on the show is in episodes pseudonyms are credited with writing. Though the fact he is credited as EP for and presumably participated in the production of scab episodes sickens me.
I wish Bruce luck in his future endeavors, just so long as he doesn't come back to PR.

I think whoever the new Executive Producer is will have a hard time making Go-Onger into R.P.M. I'm sure Disney is having one hell of a hard time right now and that's why we aren't getting any R.P.M. news.
