I would actually have to say it's more the opposite. That's a film that should be left alone, and probably will. That's an epic film that should've been left alone, and without Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum's chemistry with other actors in the film, it would've been a dry and really bad disaster flick. Kind of like all of the other Roland Emmerich's critically panned films.
Bad idea. I'm asking people around me right now if that sounds good, and they agree it should be left alone! :shakefist Besides, Will Smith even said he doesn't really do sequels anymore, since both MIB II and Bad Boys II were panned by critics. The man's trying to finally snatch that Best Actor award! And he deserves it, cause he's amazing! :buttrock:
He was amazing in Serenity/Firefly. Definitely one of the best series out there.
Not to segway too much, but it's just weird how everything they released, even the film, never got real big until it was released on DVD. The show did bad, but got huge on DVD. Because of that, they made a film, which also did pretty bad. Then on DVD it did so well, they made a second edition! I mean come on! What the hell?
In my honest opinion, I agree with Keith. The 1st movie was already over but still I can see it's potential and itself would later on develop a sequel. Furthermore, if it's gonna be a fight in space then it is a must see.
