according to the description on rightstuf, "This Special Edition includes a limited edition T-shirt featuring the Satomi team logo and a specially designed "Puff Pack" casing." i'm not quite sure what the puff pack means, since there is no image yet, but i'm down with the t-shirt ^_^. the full item listing is here
this disc is even going to have the "pilot" episode, which i have discovered is in fact the five episode micro-series spliced into a single ep. i was almost concerned that they would ignore it, since it is so drastically different from the series, but apparently that's not a problem any longer

this week's episode was a little slow compared to the last couple, but at least things are still happening in the plot. i look forward to next week, and how river will play as a threat...

anybody who watches this show should make note that starting saturday the 10th it's bee moved to 10:30. so, if you still use ancient VCR technology (like I do), you should adjust your timer ^_^;

Roger that. It's being moved to a later timeslot? Prolly to get closer to the mature Adult Swim stuff and hope older viewers catch it before their Full Metal Alchemist.

I feel sorry for this show, cuz there's no way it'll survive or do near as well as what CN was hoping for, but it is getting better and better ontop of being pretty good already.

Last episode had the best action yet. :thumbs:

another sweet episode. i completely thought the thing with mark would end extremely badly, but rather it wound up boading incredibly well for the team. i think the next couple episodes are gonna be hot, especially when they race against river and sledge mamma. great stuff ^_^

Indeed, the pacing, action and character interaction continues to become better and better in this show.

Great fight! Loved Liz's, "This is gonna hurt, girl!"

And I loved the switch up they did where Takashi took on Fantain letting Amy dash for the win.

I hope they can keep up this level of improvement.

more listings for the first DVD are starting to pop up online. best buy and animenation now also have listings, but the big thing is that there are now product images. the "puff pack" is still shaky (i cant tell what they mean by "puff" o_-), but the t-shirt looks pretty cool. righstuf still has the best price ($29.99, instead of $35-40), and it's still slated for february. you can see the pic on the rightstuf listing at http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/uPb5v2EpwfkQbgHWFI/browse/item/68425/4/0/0

also, looking at the CN schedule for this week (the 24th), there wont be any IGPX. in fact, the whole toonami lineup is out the window in favor of christmas specials. but at least adult swim is still intact...

i missed the episode where takeshi and river duke it out but i have a feeling that the next race will be a good one. cant wait for them to release the soundtrack though :buttrock: :buttrock: all those toonami jams :jam: :jam: Jsmile: Jsmile: finally i know skylark is from france and satomi is from japan but what about the other teams
