I don't know about you, but am I the only person here who can't stand gimmicks like Motion Controls? I don't know why people are into those things like the Wii-mote, Kinect, or PS Move.
Plus this is the truth, & I'm sorry if what I'm about to say is offensive, but casuals & non-gamers have to be the most dumbest, idiotic people on the planet. They are the cancer of the gaming industry. They wouldn't know a real game out there if it were to hit them in their faces, & yet, they fall for gimmicks like Wii-motes, Kinects, & Moves of what companies are advertising every single time & to pick them up. Now, because of these gimmicks that are becoming very popular, companies will start to focus into putting more time, energy, & money into crappy dancing, exercising, sports, & on-rail titles, & they may become the focus of gaming in the near future, resulting in more shovelware titles just like with 95% of the Wii's library of games while focusing less on good, core gaming titles (especially for probably next gen in which they'll probably make motion controls become more standard for gaming). :disappoin :bawling:
What kind of real gamer like myself wants to play titles like "Kinectimals", "Cooking Mama", etc.? This is making me upset, & that I wish that gimmicks like this weren't invented. At all. Plus do people like myself want to come home from a long day of work & to either wave my arms or my body around like a buffoon? No way. All I want to do is to sit at home, & play gaming with a regular controller just like it has always worked for the past 27 years. It's not forwarding the industry, it's setting back the industry. Plus core games doesn't exactly have to be all about blood & gore, as games like "Donkey Kong Country Returns" & "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" proves that.
I don't know why people defend this stuff saying because "it's fun,"; "core gamers are the minority," & "motion controls are the future!" & they may be thinking it's fun now, but what about the long term?
And this person here has a good point about this situation. This is why I can't stand gimmicks like motion controls as well as 3D with glasses in which they need to fade away into obscurity. Permanently.
