I liked him when he wasn't a god
^ I don't watch Go-Busters, nor have I kept up with Sentai long after Hurricaneger , but I'm about to jump into this anyways.
I think fans reaction depends on the way an idea is portrayed. Suicide is a very serious thing. It's demeaning yourself in such a way that people around you will wonder a great many things about you, even after your death, and then you'll be forgotten. It's dark because for someone to do such a thing requires a pretty deep motivation, I mean you wouldn't dare kill yourself now would you? A great many people would say they would if they had to, but how many have actually been put in a situation where they have the chance of actually being killed by their own hands at any minute?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, to show an audience that a character can psychologically break down is a pretty serious thing for a kid to see, even though the kid might have seen worse things in his house hold, probably.
I mean, it's still death. Just the depth of detail as to how it occurred can be traumatising.
On the other hand, sacrificing one's self for a cause might be suicide, but others could argue that it makes sense, if they have a cause and it is their life's mission to be doing it in the first place.
In context of the episode, he thought it was the only way to defeat Enter, so it's debatable which category it falls into. He also said that he was prepared to try fighting Enter first. It didn't quite go as far as Shinkenger territory with Takeru, or the Dairanger episode where ... was it Kazu? was contemplating suicide
