If Ultraman was real will you.........?

somehow, this "Hoshi no You ni" PV is like a 'sequel' of this PV:

but maybe it's just me who think like that

I wouldn't cheer them on. Not because I didn't like them, but lets be real here, a giant fighting a monster while an awesome sight wouldn't be a good thing. It'd be closer to a natural disaster then a wrestling match, for any civilians involved. The burden caused by these weekly fights would be ridiculous, the political climate would change dramatically, censorship in my favorite kids shows would go up because some angry soccer mom thinks Monsters are no longer appropriate for television now that they're real. Home owner insurance goes up. The value of many homes goes down... but only because they're being destroyed so much.

Ugh, no thank you.

Well that's more the effect of having the monster or even super-villain attacks happening at all regardless of if wether there is an Ultraman, Sentai, Rider, superheroes or not. In that instance I'd just as soon have some force on the side of the angels that can match their power.

Presupposing that such attacks by such creatures did actually happen then I would damn sure cheer on the being who fights them and backs up our defense forces to protect innocent people.

Being in the situation for real would sure as hell not be fun like it is when you are watching a tv show but in that context I think it would be even more important to let this guy know the people he is fighting for are behind him.

After all, in many instances it has been shown that an Ultraman can actually gain power from peoples belief in him and if we're gonna make the leap to imagine the monster attacks in the real world then there is just as much room for the power of human hope transfering itself to a giant hero and enabling him to shoot a beam to blow the monster up and save the day.

But the thing is this is assuming that Ultraman wasn't a show so we know next to nothing about him besides what the news tells us, and I'm going to assume that it wouldn't be much. If we were sure that he was on the side of earth and I mean concretely sure, then yes, I would cheer him on because I'd be aware that he wasn't fighting off monsters to get rid of competition so earth would be easy pickings for his buddies in space.

But until that happened, and since Ultraman is a good guy, and I'm sure it would eventually happen, I'd view him as I said before something akin to a Natural disaster, something that impresses you with it's power, but is a burden to deal with.

I any of these kinds of shows (Ultra, Sentai, Godzilla ect) were real, I'd be making tracks in the other direction so fast, I'd leave burn marks where i ran.

we have nothing to fear.. if a giant monster does attack, this is what'll happen:

I am hoping Ultraman will never become real..though he is saving, imagine the battle scars the city gets after he fights...hehe..

Though, won't the situation be more of a mix of Clover Field and Transformer the live action movie? There are bound to be more people who doubt him and even want him gone regardless of the situations with the kaijus.
