I Played a PS3.

I think the PS3 is sorta where the 360 was at this same point, although 360 still had killer stuff on the horizon I knew I wanted. But even then... definatley wouldn't have gotten a 360 then either.

I must be asking the question wrong, but I meant once the battery was no longer rechargable. I got that answered and that it is possible to swap out the recharable battery.

I think I was thinking Warhawk was going to be more than it was. The sheer concept of it sounds pretty ginormous and the battles epic. But once again, the lack of rumble is powerfully noticeable. Guns I picked up just felt so worthless and without real damage without that force feedback. And yeah... it was all so small. Still, I could see myself eventually having fun with it. I've heard from 1Up to Team Fremont that people hate it at first, but once they get used to the controls, actually end up having fun. I thought I was going to be missing it on my console, but yeah... from what I seen of HALO 3, I'll be just fine in online throwdowns.

You won't get flamed here. When it comes to the opinion of 360 not having much of a library, it's just not something I put much of any salt on. Only game system recently that's blasted me with as much quality fun has been my DS and this holiday season and next hear we start getting hit with both barrels with 3rd generation killer titles.

****... I wanted to see Heavenly Sword and some Japanese games you get off PSN.

But yeah, from what I witnessed, PS3 still's got a couple light years to go before I really want it. Although this game here, if it winds up being as gorgeous as it looks there... I may be keeping an eye out for a cheap PS3 myself.... but again... that's another year in the future most likely.

Right now there are only two games I want to play on the 360 Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata. I just can't see spending the money for a 360 for those two games not to mention the questionable quality of the 360 hardware. I am really enjoying my wii and my ds, and I think i might finnaly get a psp with the slim. Castlevania X chronicles along with tv out is a win win

I have the exact same opinion. Those are the only two games I would play on the 360 and the faulty hardware is a major concern for me. For now my Wii and PS2 will suffice and by the end of the year it'll be a PS3 I think.

I got my old 360 on release and it never once overheated, but I do try and keep my room to as close to sub zero as possible.

I think it's safe to say all 3 next-gen consoles are overpriced and that includes the Wii and the 360's price drop. The Wii should not have been over $200 and the other two definitely shouldn't be more than $300.

All 3 have major issues...PS3 is overpriced and lacks games. 360 has faulty hardware, M$ charges for EVERYTHING, it's practically dead in Japan. Wii lacks any substantial games, hardcore gamers need not apply. I've said it before, but the only winners this generation are the gamers who wait until the dust settles and picks one up at a sane price when there are good libraries of games to play.

Hell, with PS3's flagging sales, Sony is renewing efforts for the PS2 and other companies are claiming they'll support it until 2010. Who needs next gen?

I am just going to tell you how oh so very wrong you are about the wii. For 249.99 you get the wii, all hook ups, the controllers and GAMES. The last time a system came with free games I believe when it was new was the Super Nintendo. And that when it came out was 299.99 or higher.

I just don't like the PS3. I had one for about a month, and then I returned it. The games are awful, the online store and gaming is annoying, the so called backwards compatibility is a huge joke. I am happy with my PS2 and PS1. Maybe some day sony will have some good games out for the ps3, but as long as it costs more than 400 bucks it's not worth it.
A friend of mine got the PS3 the day it came out. The library of games still needs work, and he would basically agree with your assessment of it. Honestly, the only he still has it is because it can play Blu-Ray discs.

Say what you want about nintendo, at least they pack in free games with the wii.
Another thing you can say about the Wii is that they're in demand. :P

Yeah I mean I consider myself a "hardcore gamer" though I think that term is kinds silly personaly, but the wii just has fun games. I am also loveing LOVING the virtual console.
