I need some advice on my rather Interesting day...

Well me and my friend Shane went to get something to eat before our art classes (In the Bronx) we saw these girls and my friend is really shy so we started hanging around these girls. They started to check me out and I figured I could hook him up since he can't do it by himself. So we're talking and we are watching these teenagers about 16, I'm about the same age so they were "Sagging" and the type of games they were playing made them look gay so we was talking about that.

So they started hitting each other with sticks from trees, one kid threw the stick right at me. I looked at him and he said sorry so I didn't make anything out of it...his friend walks up and says "you wanna jump him?"...I said "no, It's not that serious"...He asked me the same question again and I told him, no. He called me a pussy and walked back with them. I was highly upset about it and I was pretty pissed.

So after that I remembered that me and Shane were gonna pick up these girls that were still there, so we walked back (the boys were not around) the girls then walked up to his and said "yo they about to jump you", after I looked...they were all standing around like fucking Power Rangers ready to fight. After that me and Shane slowly walked back to my class building, the girls laughed at us....I don't like to be laughed at. So I never got into a fight before and I felt like a bitch to be treated that way.

I'm not sure how to prevent or deal with a situation like that because it wasn't just a single person.

You did the right thing by walking away. Those other kids were obviously just a bunch of punks lookin' to stir up ****. After all, it's not like their "opinions" of you really matters, right? If they think what they did makes them "badass", just go ahead and let them live their little fantasies. They're just not worth your time or attention.

I totally agree that you were doing what is smart. When people do that...they do that for the purpose of getting a rise out of you. Don't give them what they want. Bullies hate it when you just act calm and move along. Don't even show a hint of anger.
