That doesn't make sense. But for a show with a playing card theme, you're required to have one hero for each suite. You can't have spades, hearts, and diamonds and outright remove clubs.

And there has to be a Joker character.

You don't need heroes from all 4 of them, especially in Blade since it was ignoring one of two of them at any given point of the series, you just need characters that represent them and the King of Clubs would have suffice.

Not really. Both Blade and Chalice sealed Undeads that were not their type.

Yes, I kind of do too, but you have to put yourself in the perspective of Toei. It's all about merchandising.

That's how you get adults to pay $100+ for a plastic toy that lights up.

I do miss aspects of a one-rider show. With a couple of the heisei series I particularly enjoy the initial episodes with one rider. The current two-rider in the tv show dynamic has been working very well for me, however, especially since the second riders have been quite different from the first. I like Birth and Meteor a lot more than OOO and Fourze, and while the designs don't make the show they did provide an extra hook in getting me to follow the story on a weekly-ish basis.
