I had absolutely NO idea.

The dark side of humanity has surfaced before, so much travesty over a single assassination.

I find WW2 disturbingly interesting since you had so much going on in many different areas compared to WW1, far beyond what's taught in public school. I'm still curious about parts outside of Europe and the Pacific.

Like how the Nazi's had a Secret base in Argentina, The African Front with Rommel and his Iron Blitz and the Finnish war against the USSR.

The little fronts of the big war.

If you thought "Saving Private Ryan" put the holocaust in such a bad light, then watch "Band of Brothers". Everything that happens in that series was actually witnessed by the men that are being portrayed.

Also, look up Unit 731. It's pretty horrifying.

Some would say war is natural for human's, that we have a inbred need to fight, rage and kill.

I have known the desire to end a human life, to rip's ones throat out and feel their tasty, coppery blood spray on my face as i find release in seeing the life drain form their eye's.......but i digress.

Weather it be over land, resources or political/religious ideology, conflict is hardwired into us.

Ugh. This years Language Arts class is just depressing. We've studied Poe, had to read about the Salem Witch Trials (which were pretty disturbing), and now the Holocaust.

Read Elie Wisel's Night. It's about him going through Auchswitz during the Holocaust.

Some scenes are just mind boggling. And to think Hitler was like this only because he didn't get into the art school he wanted..
