No it's not because of Fox. If anything it's because they premiered the trailer only seven weeks before it came out. It showed that the movie was a complete misfire. As Hex release neared it was clear that WB had given up and pulled back the marketing it wasn't really promoted much and was considered a tax write off for studio. Releasing it the same day as Toy Story 3 and having a ridiculously short run time didn't help it either.
This would have failed no matter who played her role. However it's now official that she isn't a box office draw. People aren't paying to see a movie because Megan Fox is in it. Some people were saying she's an A-lister who's name could bring people in to the Transformers movies. She wasn't the reason those movies made money. Transformers already had a built-in fanbase.
The sad thing is they tried using her as draw and she's only in the movie for 10-15 minutes.
I don't care how hot she is, if anyone hires Megan Fox to be in another movie, they're an absolute idiot. Being hot doesn't make you a good actress, but I bet she'd do well in the porn industry, which is about all she'd be good for.
