Hugo Weaving as Megatron? *CONFIRMED*

aperently a strange e-mail can be accessed at the http://www.sectorseven.org/ site. The site is sort of a Viral Marketing site that the Transformers movie is using to get people hooked into the site. It works like a millitary site where you need codes to access files. Aperently, the code today was NBETWO and it access this email:

Subject: Counter-Information Campaign
Date Received: Mar. 23, 2007 21:14(MST)
To: Agent Alexander Powers
CC: Agent W. Snup

Operation: Hungry Dragon 2 continues. As of today, Agent H. Weaving has officially convinced S.S., M.B., R.O., AND A.K. to assign him to oversee the Megaman issue. The recording will commence immediately.

All the years of investment into Agent Weaving's public persona have finally paid off. He will monitor the campaign from the inside and report on its progress free from suspicion.

By this summer, the population will think N.B.E.S. are nothing more than a figment of someone's overactive imagination.

cryptic, but with this list of acronyms, it should make things easier:

M.B. (Michael Bay)
R.O. (Roberto Orci)
A.K. (Alex Kurtzman)

With the NBES acronym up in the air, the rest make somewhat sence. This may conferm the actor's voice in the movie, but if your in dout, I wather suggest an official statement.

It would be pretty cool if Hugo Weaving did Megatron's voice as he's pretty good at playing badasses like Agent Smith in the Matrix movies and he's also done voice acting before in movies like "Happy Feet"...

A lot of TF fans are going to be upset it wasn't Frank Welker, but just to look at em you can see this Megatron isn't the same as G1 at ALL. Need Cullen as Prime though, it just wouldn't have worked right. But anyway, Hugo's good, I think he'll make it work! :thumbs:

really all They had to do to make the fans happy was Cast 2 people, and they couldn't even do that right. The creators of this film have been "Reaching out to the fans" since day one, and then slapping them across the face with that out stretched hand.

Sorry man, I just got a kick out of what you said. I'll be seeing this flick with reserved expectations. If it blows then I can still enjoy My G1 and Beast Wars DVDs.


And I'm sure it'll take more than 2 castings to make the Trans fans happy. I'm sure we'd find something else to complain about.

People crying over Welker need to get over it. I cant wait for this movie, Weaving as the voice doesnt sound bad but at the same time I never could picture him as a good megs.

to be honest, I felt like Welker wassnt going to do Megatron. I knew it would be too good to be true if it did, but Hugo Weaving is an unexpected, yet, good choice for the role. So i'll give him a chance.
