Is it possible to become a member via an invite? Or perhaps I just missed that boat.

Just register normally like you would for any forum. Is it not working?

When I click register it says invites are closed. The thing is I've been trying to register off and on for the last year +. Just hoping there was some invite code system that could get me in. Rangerboard is just so grossly off topic everyday I wanted a more purist PR board.

Sounds like they closed registration because of a hacker incident that happened a while back. I can't imagine it being down for that much longer.

The registration is disabled temporarily for now until the 541 people is completely gone (Some of you might have heard of them from the PRE days). We have been having hackers/spammers since the end of March. They are pretty much gone though....it stopped completely by the start of May. FuryDiamond (the owner of the board) wanted to wait a little longer to be sure they are gone.

The board wasn't hacked. Some members accounts got hacked by some of the 541 people.

Back in 2004 when Power Ranger Empire first opened, later in that year...a member named Phantom541 (female member) who was part of the staff...she did something back that was against the board rules....she got demoted for doing that. She got upset that she got demoted and wanted revenge. She declines what she did that got her demoted. A year after she got demoeted, she gathered some of her friends that were defending her calling the group, the 541s. What they did was go to any PR boards they find that is very active and cause havoc by hacking various members' accounts and spam by PM, emails or IMs on Instant Messengers. They'll stop and go away after awhile if we ignore those emails, fake IMs and PMs.

Phantom541 has issues in her life and around people by the way. That's why it happened.

That's what was happening at RangerCrew for awhile.
