How did 'In Space' manage to save the franchise?

His real name is Chip Lynn.

Supposedly, the character of Chip from Mystic Force was named for and based on the personality of Chip Lynn.

It turned Power Rangers in to a Universe that one could travel around in and have an adventure.

Made the PR land/spacescape something that could be traveled there and back and allowed one to see all the heroes, allies, and sites along the way.

Didn't make it just a series of monster attack situations, but a full realized world of adventure.

A line as simple as, "You're Planetary Rangers... what do you know about Space?" was simply awesome.

Sadly, ever since the end of Lost Galaxy or maybe 'Trakeena's Revenge' I feel that they never capitalized on that. Not enough for my taste.

They opened up a whole UNIVERSE of planets and cultures and villains and good guys...But even SPD with its nice KO-35 mention just turned everything around back to Earth. And even with its globe-trotting premise Overdrive felt like it all happened in the Hartford's backyard -.-

haha. Yeah, i was shocked to hear that judd lynn is a man. I been watching Power Rangers since it started, and i recall seeing his name pop up in PRiS, and I always that he was a girl!

Well, that and that PR is based off Sentai which I only discovered upon staying for the credits of Ninja Storm where it said it was based off something called Hurricanger. That, plus I bought what I thought was a VCD set (yeah, ancient) of Dino Thunder from China, turns out it was my first super sentai.

Is Jonathan Tzachor also a girl? :P Just kidding!

That's Disney for ya' and that's another reason why most of us hate it.

Which is why, as absurd as the concept may sound - I've never been against a Stargate style season of P.R.

Kinda like Lightspeed or Time Force, but with a Stargate.
