So I'd been downloading this show, but not watching. Since I started downloading, I already finished ProDai, Nobuta, and Yukan Club. haha. XD
But I saw the first three episodes, and I have to say...I like it. It's really mellow, and the slower scenes (ie. the sakura tree/pond scene, Mayama's and Takemoto's deep-thought scenes) really got to me. It's tough transitioning from the cheesy hilarity of Yukan Club to the deeper, emotion-searching Honey and Clover. I have to say the first episode didn't grab me, but the second and third did.
Toma's personality again finds a role through which to shine. He seems really out of luck in his lead roles, lol...neither Nakatsu nor Takemoto have things going their way. He's great, though...the acting is relatable and you almost hate others for giving him such a hard time. And then there's the love triangles...almost seems overdone in this story, but it's interesting. I've yet to figure out why Mayama likes Rika-san so much...I really like Yamada. And at the end of the third episode, with Hagu-chan starting to like Morita...whatever.
As much as Morita bothers me, Hiroki's doing a great job. Udayan (Stand Up!!) and Morita also have a lot in common. I've been an Osamu fan since Bambino, so Mayama's probably my second favorite character next to Takemoto. I'm intrigued by his inner turmoil and way of doing things.
Love Song Fansubs can do no wrong in my eyes. The karaoke during the ending of each episode is beautiful and really fits the scenes and the song. Gah, I love it. The show seemed almost to artsy for me at first, but I'm getting used to it. I'll stick with it...maybe I'll learn something.
