Lots of great games that came out this year. But which one sticks out the most for you?

I haven't played that many this year, but for me it'll be Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.

hey, it ain't my fault all of the toku games are mostly on handhelds

as for non toku games, i'd have to say Max Anarchy/Anarchy Reigns

Oh god no. Max Anarchy/Anarchy Reigns is a horrible game. Although I could be biased because I had to test it.

I would say Halo 4, Assassin's Creed III, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Darksiders II, LEGO Batman 2,

well, it needs a lot of rebalancing, but the core of the game is very fun, ditto with the whole idea and crazyness.

it's prequel, madworld is obviously better, but it lacks playable characters other than Jack...

For me it was XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

I can't remember any other game this year making it so damn satisfying to come back to, think about while I wasn't playing it and kept me coming back for more.

I haven't played many games that came out this year since I'm still playing catch up with older games. But the game that I enjoyed most this year was Sleeping Dogs. Combining a GTA-like structure with fight mechanics influenced by Batman Arkham Asylum/City and adding a Hong Kong feel to it all is right up my alley. It had an entertaining story with some great voice acting. This was definitely a surprise hit for the year.

It's sad to me that what I felt was the game of the generation, Mass Effect didn't really rank for me. I had no problem with the ending. I just had a problem with the pacing overall.

The more I play Mass Effect 3, the more restricted I feel overall, I didn't get that with the other 2 games.

Out of the three mass effects I feel like ME3 might have been the most linear and I think that's a bad thing.
