Question is: Is it the same piece of string that was seen in one of the episodes...

In the credits, it's just supposed to be some "hi-tech" looking version of that kids game "cat's cradle." I think the only reason it found its way into an episode is that people saw the credits and was wondering, "What the hell does that string have to do with anything?"

It makes its way into a few more episodes after the underground slave ep, too. It's usually always Akira who uses it (in one episode where he enters a fighting tournament rigged by Tube, he tosses it around his opponent to tie them up, after in which it turns into chains).

I don't think the "lazer cat's cradle" was given an official name in Maskman, as it wasn't that important. So I'll just call it "Aura Cat's Cradle." :laugh:

I just wanted to point out that I wasn't being a smartass, that was just sort of my guess. Because there's no real answer to the question. Unless it was just some director who was like, "You know that nifty little effect in the ending credits? Let's put it in the show!"

Whats the episode number in which the story was about Haruka and a doll that had a monster hiding inside it? She's racing for time to find a little girl whom she gave the doll to, unaware that it had the monster inside it at that time. Actually trying to see if I can find it to download, so need the ep no.

I think the string is their aura energies.. I've seen Akira used it once as a rope ladder in one of the episodes, can't really remember which..

That's the one when they were searching for the Galaxy Robo. When it fell to the ground, Akira had to use it as a ladder to climb the mecha.

Akira also used it in one of the last episodes to get them out from when they were all trapped underground (and Takeru saves Igam, but ditches Fuumin).
